so then what can i do to make the music not take up so much space for example i have 30mb at one point then i download coldplay-clocks and suddenly i have only 28 mb how does it take so much memory!it shouldnt take htat much i know it shouldnt

normal size for a regular quality song is 2 mb. low is 1.6, high is 2.4 mb. going from 30 - 28 mb is normal after adding one song.

I would say on-line. But of course that is probably the slowest way to get them too...
Any place like Media Play or Best Buy should have em' but expect to pay a little.

if you order from online at a semi-local dealer it will come fairly fast. low price is worth the wait.

alright people...ive had my PSP for a few months now, and most of u have missed a few things and are way off....first off...in order to actually b able to get music to work, u have 2 update the PSP system first...it works best if u have a wireless network...on the left side of the PSP, flip the switch up, so it can connect to ur wireless networks, make a connection, and update the PSP...then once u do this u have 2 format ur memory stick...thus when u do this, the music, photos, save data etc folders appear...but wait...no movie folder?!?!..u have 2 create this manually...the first folder (outside the PSP folder) should b named "MP_ROOT" and then another folder in there with the name of "100MNV01"..thus now u can add videos...BUT....u need to have them in MP4 on quicktime format which most illegally d/loaded movies are not...so go to www.pspvideo9.com and d/load the software to convert ur videos...about memory sticks? yes they are expensive...the 2GB one is like 350$...now i got lucky...my best buy was having a sale on 1GB ones (orig 150$) so i paied 110$, and have a 10$ mail in rebate...well actually...somehow the comps musta been entered wrong cause i paied 84$, and still can send in a rebate...the memory stick fits about 200 songs in good quality which is plenty for me...w/o the music it fits about 1 full length movie and a few songs...idk how that one guy fit 30 full songs on his 32MB card..cause i only fit 4...maybe 5 if i got lucky...but its good for save files cause on the PS2, the cards are only 8MB and they fit quite a few games...PSP might not be able to hold some 2000 songs like crappods...i mean...Ipods...nope..deff. meant crappods...soooo many ppl are like "i can play games"...HA..like fucking worms and tetris...WOW MY CALCULATOR CAN PLAY THOSE GAMES TOO!...."well i can also store pics"...ditto u fags...haha...and my games look amazing and play great...but w/e...if u need nething else just ask me....OH...DONT SPEND UR MONEY ON EXPENSIVE SOFTWARE AND CORDS....a basic USB cable that goes to ur comp to PSP works...i used my bros Dell Jukebox cord and free software off the internet...so i didnt pay shit for that...lastly...no music conversion is needed people...about 98% of the time when u dload music it is MP3 already...so dont worry about converting it unlike movies which u must...but its worth it...well...have fun!!!....actually i have a ?...does ne1 know how come some of my PSP songs (like 3) have an album art next 2 it, and the others dont?...i'd really like them all to have it cause then it would look bitchin...thanks

First off, you dont have to update your psp firmwire , thus makes it impossible to play homebrews, second, the number of songs vary per quality of mp3/atrac or soon to be WAV and maybe more..
Finally, it is not mandatory that you format your memory stick, if you have things on your memory stick,, this will result in it being lost...... oh and finally finally, you can create folder your self naming them "MUSIC" "PHOTO" "GAMES" , you can read all that and more in my guide above, please snoborder2, dont post a guiding thing like that if you dont know what you are talking about,, alot of people will update their frimwire 1.5 to 2.0 because of you,, and that is a very bad thing..

dont tell me idk what im talking about, i tried making folders and shit be4 i updated and formatted my stick, and nothing worked, and its why u format a stick be4 u use it....and ooohh so now i cant hack my PSP and run shit like a brower, or other shit idc about...oh nooo...cause im just such a fucking nerd to sit around for hrs trying to make my PSP control my fucking TV...wow searously....get a life...updates were created for a reason...to update ur shit...if u cant hack a newer virsion....well then that sucks for u cause i dont give a shit....and way to not answer my question u putz...the most basic shit and u didnt even answer...wow...unfuckingbelieveable....if u got a problem with me not caring about what version my PSP is and what i can and cant do on it...then fuck off cause i honestly dont care...i can play games, music, movies and pics...so im happy...fucker

haha here here snobrder. Im just reading these posts to learn more about the psp in general. I just ordered a 1 gb memory stick from best buy for 85 bux, dunno if its good or not. n e ways just wondering how many songs i could store on it? any guesses? most of my songs i get from winmx, so they are mp3 already but most of them are about 5-7 mb, which is know is big but they are great quality and was just wondering if a 2 mb song would be just as good? oh well, happy posting

about 175 if the average song is 6 mb..but some are 4...its pretty good for such a small stick...but idk...play around with it...see what happens...but if u want videos, go to the link i have in my first post so u can convert them...i think im gonna buy a portable dvd player instead of spending money on UMds that can only b played on the PSP....idk tho....we'll see...enjoy

The quality of the songs dont make to much of a difference using the psp sound output, however you can tell the difference, it is just no majorly big differnce..

Whats a brower?? and if you dont care about it, does it mean you shouldnt let other people know about it?? What if some one does care,, but before they realize it , they update, becasue of you.... The flaw is you tell them to update ,and dont tell them that things they lose or other gains they get out of it..

suck my nuts, i have every fucking right to say what i want...FREE COUNTRY...and once again...i didnt say u fucking made ur psp a controller...other ppl have that ive seen online...if u dont like what im sayin, then thats too bad...and im a fast typer, i dont look at every lil detail that i type...ppl make mistakes...and like i said...some ppl have a life and dont care to spend hrs loading pointless shit on their psp when it wasnt made to do that...2.0 here i come...i could really care less!

alrite, well i fit 148 on a 1 gig stick with about 28 megs to spare, just in case. its not too bad, u could proly buy an i-pod or memory sticks and get about the same amount out of them. n e who, anyone know if u can save a photo as ur background on ur psp screen? cuz all the gay ass colors are getting kinda boring to look at......thanks
