Does this mean that it's impossible to rebuild the disc to reduce the TOC? If so, how can I extract the movies to encode them to a smaller size?

I have a tough problem with URBZ Sims in the city PAL it takes alot to load to the menu and the music just repeats several times, I even tried using TOC refresh with a 4.38GB game but it didn't work. Seems like it has some wasted space, if I select all the files it will just show me 1.29GB, but on the properties screen its 4.15GB, any idea why this happens? I also need some help on how to "shorten" the TOC with isobuster, if that is the problem with the game halting on load screens...

Cheers

okay,with the second disc of xenosaga you have to extract the files.you cant make the game smaller so as an alternative you can rearrange the file order by putting the system and slus files in first to whichever program you are using(nero or cdvdgen).then put the rest of the files in order as they are in isobuster.burn with Nero or reconstruct iso with cdvdgen with this file order.

@grayz

what speed did you burn at?1x would be a good speed to burn games with large sizes.4.15gb is big but should be able to play with swap magic.but go ahead and extract it with isobuster.just right click on the red iso icon in the game directory when you open the disc or disc image.select the extract option from the menu that pops up.if there is no name after the iso icon you will have to make a folder on your hard drive to extract the files to before you extract them.if there is a name after the iso icon like in the picture hursty posted earlier in this thread(xenosaga_II)then a folder will be made automatically.after the files are extracted check the folder you extracted to and see if the overall size of the folder is smaller.get that far and ill tell you what else to do.

i have to explain things in a new way or ill get bored with myself.

Well, I extracted everything, it shortened out to 1.29GB... Almost 3GB off, geez... And btw I burned the DVD image at 4x, but then I tried at 2x, my DVD-RAM wont let me burn at 1x. Now, I just need to know how to burn the files to a DVD in order to be able to play it on the PS2.

you would use Nero burning rom and select udf/iso dvd.put the files in one by one in the same order as they were in isobuster(file order isnt that important but it wont hurt to use isobuster as a reference).then rename compilation from new to whatever you like then select burn compilation.select burn speed and no multisession and wait for it to burn.

if you dont have Nero you can click on the blue text to download the demo version.

Hmmm... Something went wrong, I did as you told me, but Swap Magic tells me that it is not a valid PS2 Disk.
I did like this:
1.Extracted from isobuster
2.Copied the files one by one to match the the file positions like isobuster
3.Then burned the files to a DVD
Btw, what file system should I use? Joilet, or ISO9660?

Grayz, Make sure that you're creating a DVD-ROM (UDF/ISO) compilation and not a DVD-ROM (ISO) or DVD-ROM (UDF).

sui-cyco, will that method of placing the SYSTEM and SLUS files also work with disc 1?

There's the reason it wasn't working. I only burned ISO. It works now, thanks for the help.
