alright yes there is a way to play them off of your memory card...you will need to place the "extracted" iso image(the disc looking icon, first it looked like a bundle of books-then you extracted those books-and you got a file with an icon that looks like a dvd) onto the first menu screen that you see when you plug your psp in(and go to usb mode), this was the easy part...now you are going to need to find a launcher for it...once found you will need to take the two folders for that launcher(i.e. lumines and lumines%) and place them in the "game" folder in the psp folder..making sure the "name" one is in front of "name%"...now back out of usb mode and go to your memory stick icon on your psp and look the icon for your game...some games have launchers that are just floating around and some games there are none at the moment that can be launched..(just a short list of games possible that can be launched-us version-Lumines,NBA2K5,Dead2rights,mercury(with a umd in drive),ape escape, and supposedly darkstalker, haven't tried)...the WAB & PSP-Dev team have launchers out that will boot these games up...i have a total guide for their launchers..just go to my sig(sorry for that one would take to long to write)

Hello, thought I'd pop by to confirm that the hex edit posted by evnflow does indeed enable the sound in Lumines (at least on my version (released by a group called espalpsp)). I used a hex editor called XVI32.

not to poke fun at anybody in here but start from the beginning at psp-spot.com or psphacks.net...

now to answers
ISO images are simple packs of info that can be easily stored on physical memory devices such as CD's or UMD's in our case. The "weird" files you extract are the actual programmed files that "IS" the game itself. You need to place these files and folders under the correct names in your MS. I can not give you a universal answer on how to do this because every game is different. You can go on IRC chat for more help, read forums on PSP dedicated sites, or read the .nfo files or read me's with every loader. Sorry to be so blunt, but the sites I named should help everyone.
