My apologies - i've never heard of this before - can you give me more info about how imbnes runs? - is it an elf file or ps1 formatted disc and how are the emulator files stored on cdr? - as plain data cd or otherwise?
Do the games play the same as the actually ps1 disc?

Soz i didn't mean to be arsy. Any wayz what you do is download a rombank and a current version of imbnes (It Might Be Nes). unzip both ones into the same folder. Now here comwes the weird bit i'v never actually run across an emulator for the ps2/ps1 like this before instead of creating the disc by putting together a cnf and elf. All you need to do is open the rom bank then find where all your roms are that you want to put on it. When youv'e done this click on sort roms. (This sorts them into alphabetical order) and then click build IMBNES ISO, (creates an ISO and a CUE sheet) When done simply burn this sucker on your favorite burning software and jobs a good un!!!
Heres the link!

Again soz for being an ass!! :)

Bacon, dude, the guy didn't say he INVENTED the idea, just that he "FOUND A WAY"!!! - you can either read the dictionary on these terms and/or find a better hobby than attacking valuable members on this forum. If all that fails, at least wait until you're 16yrs old and have sufficient communication skills to voice your anger!
Share the Peace man, not the hate!

What impact does Breaker Pro have with the Swap Magic when booting backup-games. I just use the Swap Magic and it works for me. But if I were to use Breaker Pro with Swap Magic would it be better or something?

no, it wouldn't help you (it wouldn't even work). Breaker pro is for booting ps1 backups and dvdrips you download off the internet (dvd games ripped down to fit on cdr).

DVD games but there are no PS1 DVD games!?!? Why would you need to boot a DVDRip if there are no PS1 DVDRips?!!?

its for ps1 games OR ps2 dvdrips. The swap magic cd has a toc of 632megs, dvd rips are usually over that but less than 800megs. Breaker pro has a toc of around 800megs.

I only have swap magic 2.0, so maybe they bumped up the toc with the newer versions. If thats the case, then breaker pro is only useful for ps1 games.

I'm just saying PS2's v12+ don't work with TOC Refresh because they don't need them.

this swap trick still doesnt work for me.
I stick in my psx1 trigger disc, shortcut to ps2 browser, highlight the black disc, fliptop swap my ps1 backup, hit X.
I get the psx1 black bios screen, then it just sits there.

check the bottom of your ps2 and check to see how many screws are on the bottom. if i am correct, if you have 10 you have a v1-3 or if you have 8 screws than you have a v4 or higher until you get to the slim ps2s

Nod, 8 screws. I did a fliptop last month on it.
Seems to follow all the rules for a v4.
I have no probs loading anything else though.

No problem playing legit psx1 and ps2 games.
No problem swapping swap magic cd/dvd with backup cd/dvd games.
No problem loading psx1 cds to trigger memcard exploit.
I stick in the trigger, get to the keylauncher menu, select load ps2 browser, I see the black disc, I swap out like usual, hit X, and black ps1 bios screen comes up and i just hear the disc spinning.
tried with an old castlevania jap that has no probs on my modded psx1.
tried with US release castlevania on a philips cdr and a sony.

ok this is how to boot a ps1 game using a mem expoite
what you need
a fat ps2
mem expoite
ps1 orginal and a backup copy
a fliptop or slide card
im asuming if you want this to work you have a working expoit
you will need to add the sms elf (simple media player)
found here
http://home.casema.nl/eugene_plotnikov/
you need sms 1.5 i dont know if the others work but i know this one does
set up your expoit to load the sms file (as a media player i found pretty useless but has 1 good feature)
once loaded press start and chosse the last opinon to boot to browers
now all the boot to browers ive found auto ejects the disks hense you ps2 checking the next disk you load but this dont
so when you are back in the browers it should tell you that a psx/1 games is in te drive (being your trigger disk)
so all you need to do is swap the disk using your fliptop or slide card
hit x on controller and bingo you are playing ur ps backup
ive tryed this on many games look at my sig ive got a few and hasnt failed yet
i can confirm that swaping the disks at the sony ps screen works but as the disk is still spinning swapping at that time is dangerous as you cound catch you lazer and damage it
if you need a ready made expoite made ive got a PAL or NTSC i can emaail you 1 just pm me but you will need to read up on expoits first as they are hard to get the hang off
hope this helps a little
