no, breaker pro HAS to be original because you use it to refresh the toc.

yep. There is a version of gameshark or action replay that works but i don't know which one, and you would still need to buy it.

Yeah - don't bother trying breaker pro to load psx backups - there's an easier and cheaper way if you have installed an MC exploit. Just choose Keyloader.elf as your launcher program and select MISC: Ps2 browser from the loading options.
With your ps1 game (that launched your exploit) still in the disc tray, you select the ps2 browser through keyloader and the disc will stop spinning. Now swap your original PS1 disc for a backup (the TOC will already be refreshed) and press X on the black circle representing your ps1 game. The game will load!

how far do you get on the procedure? - if you have used keyloader to get access to the ps2 browser (going to the ps2 browser by normal means will not work), the disc will have stopped spinning - if you swap your exploit trigger disc for your ps1 game on cdr, and select the "ps1 game" icon, it will boot.
If you've gotten that far and it goes to a black screen, you must have burned a PAL game (if your system is NTSC, american), or a NTSC game(if your system is PAL, european) - these games never load unless you have some special adapter - so make sure you have the right region of game. Otherwise, something may have gone wrong with you burning the disc - try taking one of your ps1 games that works normally and back it up to cdr - that'll work to begin with.

the game was imbnes, it worked in the ps1 emu on my pc.
maybe the game didnt have enought toc.
if toc means how much space the game takes up, it was only about 100mb,
would that be why?

I made to the black ps screen then it hangs there.
used a castlevania jap cd that never gave my modded ps1 trouble.
is toc an issue wit exploit trigger cd?

Man - there's the trouble: an "emulator" bin file is not the image file of the original disc! You can't burn an emulator file (which has been formatted to run on PC) and get it to work on a PS2 like the original game.
You'll know if it's just an emulator file if it's less than about 350MB in size - plus the fact that it runs on an emulator at all!
You need to find the .bin/.cue, .iso, .img or other image file for the game - this is made when someone rips the disc directly to this one image file. When you burn the image file, you take the transfer of the game and wack it on your cdr - a full copy - only a copy with all the right files on there will work.
Try doing a "direct copy" of a ps1 game you've already got - this will work! - otherwise it'll need to be an image file from the original disc.
Hope that helps!

standard emulator files (.bin formatted etc) DO NOT work when burned to cdr! - and practically NO PS1 games are as small as 100MB - unless you've got PS1's release of space invaders! lol I'd try copying a game you own first - this will work perfectly if it's done right!

1. boot your ps2 with the tray open
2. now go to the browser menue and then put your psone game in a orginal let it spin up
3. and then when you see the black disk
4. open your flip top and then take out the ps orginal and put your copy in close the flip top and push x or what ever it is to boot the game have fun with the ps boot ups i found this out just by messing around

Correction! jjax do your homework before misleading people. The Imbnes is an emulator ONLY for the psone (or ps2 if correct boot methods are available) to run nes games, and psone games ie emulators do not generally have to be over 100mb. I have the imbnes running on my ps2 with breaker pro and has over 500 roms on it. (All play near to perfect on my ps2) Total disk size 213,077kb. (Not dissing your ps1 boot method as i'v never tried it but what I can say is that the imbnes is definately for use on the psone/2 and not on the pc, unless psx emulator is available)
