There's a big sticky thread on best media or something like that near the top of the board...

But to save you a bit of time, Taiyo yudens are considered the best by many people whether they're for movies/ps2 games or whatever.. also good are ritekg04 or g05, tdk, sony, verbatim. If you can get the Taiyo yudens though, that'd be great... until you have the burn method down pat though i'd suggest using some ritek g05 as they're less expensive coasters if you do something wrong :)

good luck

You don't want white printable, and you definatly don't want to order from ebay. Your link is not working right now, so i cant check. These are the exact ones i ordered yesterday (they are comming on thursday, so i haven't tested them yet):

You're from the UK?

If so, then go here http://www.blankdiscshop.co.uk/

Very good media on there.. look at the non-printable DVD-R discs, especially the verbatim 8x(which are taiyo yudens) and the ridisc extreme 8x (which are ritekG05), I use both thos kinds myself from that very same supplier and have not had one coaster.. I was so impressed with the quality actually that I bought 200 of the ridisc extreme's and 75 of the verbatims (I do a lot of movies and ps2 backups, LOL), had them delivered next working day because I ordered before 3pm and only around £6 for postage I think. They also do payment by paypal if you don't want to use credit/debit card.

hope that helped :)

The discs will play whatever is put on them if you burn them correctly and the game doesn't need rebuilding or whatever. Just bear in mind that downloaded games won't necessarily be for your region console eg, PAL. And could even be a dud file or corrupted... I'd stick with making backups of what games you have as originals until you get the burning method right.

There is a stickied thread near the top of the board by hursty about rar files and what to do with them.

To help you out though.. you select the first rar file eg, ?????.001
right click on it and select extract all or whatever it says. after a while you should ahve a file named ????.iso, you then burn that file to disc at 4x using DVD Decrypter or Nero the same as you do with an iso you got off an original game.

good luck

If it's from an original disc, check the forums..do a search for the name of the game, eg Gun... look through the threads and see if anyone's posted that it needs a rebuild. If nobody has post about a rebuild then burn a straight 1:1 copy or do a rebuild anyway, your choice.
Gnie's expert tool works great by the way, very simple to use and fast.. then just burn the new iso.

So, how did you go with burning the original games you've got? it'd be better to get your burning method worked out first before trying downloaded ones I think... there's a few more things that could go wrong with downloaded iso's.

I think fifa 2006 needs some stuff done to it before it'll backup properly.. and we can't tell if it's already been done with a downloaded one obviously.
And with the language problem on TC NY, I don't know if there's anything you can do... I think you just downloaded the wrong iso.

I honestly don't know, it could be a bad iso, a burning problem or that it needs a rebuild.. you are using the better media now right?

Try a rebuild with fifa, it can't hurt.

I don't know to be honest. You could try getting the language files from somewhere and seeing if you can replace them in the files you've got and then rebuild it.. If you do get it working let us know on here how you did it as it may help someone else with the same problem. Thanks.

Glad you got fifa working :)
