Most people are with you on that, but theres no mod chip, which means buying new games everytime one gets screwed, and it will be the first version, which means it can hav a few problems, like the 360, it keeps on overheating, i played on one, and think it isnt really a big improvemnt, it just like my computer. The ps3 is alot more powerful then nowadays fastest computers, but it would still hav a few problems i think.

PS3 is as fast as the fastest intel on the market. Im not sure about the AMD. But screw the ps3. I'm getting a hyped laptop next year instead. When the new processors hit. (and new graphic cards ect.)

In time PC technology will overtake the PS3, as it's constantly evolving. A console system's specs are static. One it's released, that's it. A high end PC will always win out it the end. What's nice about that console systems is it gives game developers a universal format to market their products. With PC's not everyone will have a gamers PC with a Gig of DDR2 memory, fast processor, and GeForce xxxx 3D Graphics card. Some people have POS PC's that are barely internet accessible. I'm stating the obvious I know, just something I wanted to get off my chest. I agree with Steimy. The first gen chips will probably blow for the PS3. Once there's a reliable, durable, chip that auto boots everything, that's when I want to get a chip. Ahhhhhahhhhhh modded PS3 lol. I definitely will be interested in anything the DMS or MI teams come up with. Chances are they'll be the first ones to come up with a quality direct boot chip.

Well said. Do you know that the cell processor from ibm sony and toshiba are going to hit PCs? DO you think that intel and amd will release new processors? Usually they do right after a next equivalent gen consol. After xbox, p4 after ps2, some better p3
Im thinking a amd 64x2 or amd 128 bit is comming out. And a p5
The great thing about pc's is that you get to upgrade them.

Yep. I agree. I don't profess to be a PC expert, with all those specs you're rattling off, it sounds like you know what's going on. So what's this Cell processor you're referring to? I don't a ton about AMD and Intel processors, but from what I understand a high end AMD will run rings around a P4 in terms of gaming.

well its probably more likely they will release a 64x2 bit not a 128bit.

New video cards are hitting in april.
The geforce 7900.
This card is ALOT faster and better than the ps3 rsx.
It runs at 700-750mhz
512mb of ddr?
and some other stuff.
I think it even has turbo charged cache.

Well i've just learned that the new pentium wont be called the pentium 5. Intell has announced this.

It will be based on pentium 3 technology. And really fast. It is also 64-bit architecture.

Laptops are already starting to sell with a geforce 7800 inside, from dell and other companies. By 2007, Computers will probably have ...Windows Vista, new pentium or amd 64x2
