make sure that its in disk mode You do this by holding Center and menu until the apple shows up then click center and play and it should turn black and white

I tried it in both disk mode and normal. It boots USB Advance from the ipod in disk mode, but doesn't recognize the ipod as an HDD, it just says USB hard drive required. Its a 40gb 4th gen, not photo, if that helps at all. I fromated to NTFS by right clicking on it, then formated it to FAT32 using the USB extreme tools. Made the swapmagic folder, which clearly works, since USB advance boots, but something goes wrong there between the ipod and the psTwo.

No matter what I put on the ipod, USB Advance does the same thing, says I need a USB HDD.

As far as i know, iPod's HD is from TOSHIBA, which is not supported by USBeXtreme. Therefore, using iPod with USBeXtreme is not possible. You can still use Swapmagic to load your games, but only 4 games at a time and they have to be under 4gb in size.

Hey guys, I needed some help regarding this too. I havent got an ipod, instead I have a Zen Micro. Also I have a regular USB flash drive 1GB in size. The game I'm trying to run is Street Fighter EX3 which is roughly 705MB in size, is it possible to run this via my USB flash drive? And if so, how would I go about doing it?

Hey, could you clarify the first part of your guide? I would like to try to use Swap Magic instead.

are you supposed to rename the iso to SMBOOT0.ELF? I can't get this to work.

I have a hunch that this involves renaming the SLUS files you find on your PS2 disc to .elf so swap magic loads them. I tried it with ulaunchelf, but the elf still looks at the dvd drive for the data, so that makes it moot. I'm wondering how you're getting it to work with Swap Magic, especially since some games such as FFXII have data in raw that's not even readable by PC. Please clarify! :P
