the another xbox 360 when the tv is put all the way to the tv ??? c'mon do let it go its real... and its not as easy as you just said it , if it was then everyone would do it . you have to open it de soilder reflash the 16 bit unique code ( this means if your drive dies then you cannot punch in a new one :(
then after reflashing re soildering it ...... sounds like easy but its extreamly hard so they didnt explain how to do it but they left their work behind waiting for someone to try and fellow the same exact steps , which team xecuter have and they are really making progress.... i can post links but for what? if you dont belive it then chil out and dont bother posting if you think it can happen then just wait paticently ..... gus738

Ok fair enough. Lets just wait and see what happenns. Dont get me wrong, it would be fantastic if it is true and the 360 will top on my wish list if it is. Fingers crossed but i'm not holding my breath!

Hmmmm...even if you did do it you couldn't release it.Think about it for a second,it is a hacked firmware for the dvd drives.Microsoft is looking for people to release this,as you can tell from the previous hackers.

Well yeah for piracy,but this is dealing with the actually hardware of the console.I seen an article awhile ago about a person who got sued over a hack he did to his Xbox.The hack was related to the hardware from the Xbox.A modchip could solve the problem,since it isn't actually made by Microsoft I think and it could bring forth other development with the harddrive.You see if you mess with the hardware inside the Xbox you can infact get sued(everyone should be aware of this).I think I could hack the Xbox360 using the firmware hack that is mentioned,but I don't plan on messing with it cause the consequence would be too much plus it is hard as hell to even get ahold of one of these consoles at the moment anyways.Loser made a program that can transfer the firmware over to your PC.You have to connect the drive to your PC and transfer it over with a PCB board connector(Xecuter showed a couple pics of it off the teamxecuter site,and said it might be available for the public in the near future).Once you have it on your PC then you can hack it,and send it back to the drive.If teamxecuter releases this PCB connector there definately will be a universal hack,no modchip is mentioned by them either so this hack is the real deal.From what I have been reading on the Xbox360 the creators behind Quix have been working on something also.It is a new build of the program Quix 2 which will bring universal patching abilities ;).Give it time and things will progress,patience pays off if you ask me.

Ok so they have produced a video as proof but do you really think this is real? I know you can see cables going into the TV from the xbox but how do you know its that xbox thats showing the image on the TV. Say you had another xbox plugged into the back of the TV and thats the real one thats playing the game.
Sorry folks. Just seems too good to be true!

I AGREE HEY! I MEAN WHY WOULD ANYONE DOUBT TEAM XECUTER,THEY HAVE RENOWNED SUCCESS AND EVERYBODY KNOWS THERE WORK GENUINE...AND WITH ALL THE WORK THEY ARE PUTTING IN,THEY DEFIANANTLY ARE REAL...THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO DOUBT IN MY MIND THAT IT IS FAKE!!!

So let me get this straight
1.xboxscene-the biggest xbox hacking community who have confirmed this hack to be real.
2.team xecuter-the biggest xbox mod-chip developer who have confirmed this hack to be real and are working on it.
3.the specialist-the guy who succesfully modded the XBOXv1 dvd firmware, and the guy who has made this hack.
Are all faking this hack!!!!!!.....yeah right.

been on team xecuter site which is now down. before the site whent down most of the people on the forum were singing a different tune mainly saying the hack does not work. need some clarification on this is it all one big hoax or what?. ive got a toshiba samsung dvd in my xbox any guides for firmware upgrade available?

read on this complete thread it is not fake ! and its only been done to hitachi drives i belive... and theirs only 2 dvd drives for xbox 360 , hitachi and samsung .... no toshiba

The hack seems to be legitimate from what I've read but I've also read that it will be easy for MS to detect a dvdrom firmware change.
If that's the case then you would have to go without Xbox Live(that would SUCK!) Once they detect a modified firmware when you connect they could either ban you from Live or require an update to the system memory to connect and there goes the ability to play copied games.
