Sorry, The console is now called,"Wii"

I like the controller but we have to buy add on just to play Gamecube games which Nintendo always make us do.

No you don't. The Wii has GCN controller ports, memory card slots, and the slot drive will accept both Wii and GCN discs right out of the box.

This remote is going to smoke the competition .. can't wait to get my hands on it and try it for myself. The motion sensing and pointing will more than make up for the lack of buttons.

in reply to the add-on for gc games:
Quote:
Media: A single self-loading media bay will play single- or double-layered 12-centimeter optical discs for Wii, as well as 8-centimeter Nintendo GameCube discs.

...

Other Features: Four ports for classic Nintendo GameCube controllers. Two slots for Nintendo GameCube Memory Cards. An AV Multi-output port for component, composite or S-video.
Backwards compatibility for the GameCube is already built in :)

First off, about the earlier posts from a certain person loving the word "gimmick", the Eye Toy, BELIEVE IT or not, was NOT the first of it's kind. Like 8 or 9 years ago I went to a place called Robot World in the Wisconsin Dells ( google it if you want ) and they had about 7 of them running at once on one floor.
