Without the gimmicky controller used, the WEE WEE has the graphics of the Nintendo 64. What would be the point in playing it then desme9? Can you say fan boy??

Wait, nevermind. I just made a 9-year old joke and I obviously don't konw what I'm talking about comparing the Wii graphics with N64. Can I say "troll"?

You must not have seen that tennis demo. The graphics were actually worse than the n64. Fan boys are uniting for Nintendo!!

Oh I watched the tennis demo. I also watched metroid prime 3 trailer, red steel, mario galaxy, and zelda.
I hope the WiiSports will be improved before launch, but if not then I'll take it like one of those samplers, like the one that came out with Xbox. some of those games were rather simple, but hell I remember having tournaments with those mini-games all the time. (of course, that lasted about 2 days, but I remember them nonetheless.)

Mario galaxy looked much worse than mario sunshine and Zelda is coming out for gamecube which I already own. Bottom line is The WEE is not next gen. The control it a good concept and in theory sounds cool. When I was 10 the Power glove also sounded cool. Until I actually used it for over 5 minutes. The WEEE is gonna be WEEEtarded

Demo's are just demo's. The graphics will be boosted up, if not then they would actually be going in reverse from where they want to go and I'm sure they wouldn't do that.

The bottom line:
Wii graphics, although better than Gamecube's, will not really compare to the 360/ps3's High-Def graphics. Everyone's known this for some time now.
That is not the emphasis. The emphasis is on games and gameplay. It's on affordability, and a new experience.
If that's not what you're interested in, than that's fine, don't buy it. But other people might be, and stirring up meaningless arguments is unnecessary and uncalled for.

This is true ROME but what you forgot it that nintendo saved the gaming industry. Besides im normally for ps2 but i love my nintendo. Xbox and xbox 360 which is just a pumped up xbox is just another way for the greedy bast*** bill gates to get more money. And nelson the wii's graphics will stun you when the release comes out. Again this is not the final copy. the release in winter sometime will be. If you are for the xbox 360 your a tard. Xbox 360, one released its console to soon. 2, its a dumb console to begin with. 3, it has horrible games and no orriginal series. 4, it ripps off ps2 orginal series like GRAND THEFT AUTO. and 5, is not worth the money.

Despite how much I despised the original Xbox, I am fascinated by the 360, and will play it whenever I get the chance - like if I'm at someone's house and they own one. I would buy one myself but I don't have money. I'm a huge Perfect Dark fan, and the Halo series owns me. Gears of War looks sweet too.

Grand Theft Auto was not originally an exclusive for Playstation. It was for PC, and a port for game boy as well. The next title was available for PC, PS2, Dreamcast, and another gameboy port.
You'll find a lot of Sony exclusives are like this. Metal Gear Solid was a branch of the Metal Gear series, around long before PlayStation.
Regardless, I think each system has a fair amount of good games to look forward too.

god knows what your on about mate, playstation has used the same games over and over since PSX like MGS, GT, resident evil etc which are the main games that they sell with their consoles.
I really disagree with the title of this thread as well, hardware developers can only get new consumers by having new and different technology. Unlike sony who just add a load of irrelevant add-ons with their consoles which then just adds to the final bill.
If I want a console I just want to play games, simple. If I want a blue-ray player I would want to buy it seperately.
Sure, people think it will save them money but to me its just annoying if eventually they become mainstream I want to chill out and play games during my freetime on a saturday and someone else wants to watch a film, then what? Buy another Blu-ray drive for the living room and have a player that wont really be used?
Amazingly there are more than 1 person in a household and how are you going to use the "multimedia hub" accordingly? If anything its almost a bottleneck.
Also, whats wrong if the graphics aint up to scratch with the 360 or ps3?
I didnt realise just because something looks real pretty that instantly translates into an amazing game. Its a shame the gaming community has gotten so shallow when I thought it was all about having fun playing games.
So I take it that monopoly, a simple board game, is no fun?
and why is it people are so intimidated by change? as in something new, not just better.
I think, and a lot of other people would (or should) be excited by the prospect of playing a game in a new way rather than just thinking its lame without giving it a chance.
When i get my hands on 1 and think it sucks, fair enough, nintendo tried and failed. Shit happens. At least they had the guts to try something new and I would applaud them for that.
Just really pisses me off when I come and look for a decent thread on here and just see a load of shite like nintendo are stupid for trying something different.

LOL, the poster of this thread confused the word NINTENDO with SONY, he is so dumb and it seems that he doesnt know about games.
As ROME had his time of glory and fall, its time for dirty glory of SONY to meet an end just like dreamcast...

HAHAHA just started reading and people confuse things and talk just for the talk. Come on guys, I love Nintendo and Wii will probably be my next console. But as stupidly as it sounds 360 is kicking butt right now, and I hate that cuz 360 doesn't have nothing worth it in it.
PS3 well knowing that it will come out probably in Nov. but nothing really new was showed at the E3. Oh yeah the controller if you can consider that new. LOL. The games well many places I've checked say that many demos that were played at the E3 were running on supercomputers, now don't take my word as a source cus I wasn't even there.
Now the Wii (nice name huh?) showed cool things, Metroid, Super Smash Bros Brawl (now that was a coo video there), and many other I can't recall right now. When I saw how red Steel was played I was like "damn I want one of those"
But, i think many guys here got things wrong. I love games and the first thing that I like about games is how they're played. Yet, alot of games dont show that only some cool ass graphics that make you drool, but in like 1hr of play you trow it away cuz the game is hard to play. Come on guys I don't care what console it is if the game has a beautiful gameply then it's worth it

Nintendo should have waited till next year and released it's console and put something in it that could beat the 360 and PS3 graphically. They should have developed a real controller but also used the Wii remote as an add on for the system. They let everyone down with the Gamecube and now I think they are setting themselves up to fail again.
The Wii remote is going to be fun for awhile, it will impress girls and children will love it but for us real gamers is it going to get real old, real fast? That is the question. If I want to sit back and relax and enjoy the new Zelda, (one on my favorite's of all time) is that controll going to get in the way after awhile? I can't see myself just sitting back, relaxing and playing, I see you having to sit up with your arms stretched out, holding this contraption. And a game like Red Steel, do i want to sit there slashing some remote around like some spastic goon all day? People think gamers are nerds now, wait till they get a load of all these people flailing around their living room.
The wii sports series, I just don't see any meat in that at all. Ok swing the bat, swing the racket. I mean, I have to say that will be fun and fresh the first week or so but after that it is going to get stale.
This is basically Gamecube 1.5 plus a new remote. I applaud their effort but as an add on it would have been brilliant. They would have been on top in no time, but as a system seller with far inferior graphically capabilities, I don't think it will work. In this day and age that we live in, video games have to be beautiful. We are a shallow culture. That is just the way it is. People want the best looking, flashiest thing on the market.
Nintendo is aiming to sell to people who never play games. They may get some of those people but will those people buy enough games and consoles to support the system? Only time will tell for Nintendo. I don't wish for them to fail even though I am bitter that I had a Gamecube and they left me out to dry. But I think they will definately come in last bigtime to Sony and MS

And again graphics graphivs graphics u guys don't get right. It's not anout the graphics. it's about the gameplay. Example DS is getting way better games and they are not as good looking as the PSP's but the gamplay is exceptional.

You know what's better then all this high tech crap and all of this talk about graphics and stuff? Going outside and playing with a ball or something. That's where u'll get the most fun at. This generation seems to have lost that big time. Nothing like playing some catch or riding a bike or something outside rather than sittin in the house looking at the dam t.v. all day and guess what?? It's free!!!!

Who says you can't have Next Gen graphics and great gameplay?? what your saying then is Nintendo is too stupid and cheap to put any focus on making the games look nice. Developing some cheesy controller and then putting out N64 graphical games is a disgrace if you ask me. I got screwed by Nintendo with that ridiculous Gamecube, I will be damned If I am gonna bend over and take it again this year. I probably will eventually get one but not for at least a year or 2 so when it starts appearing on ebay for about 30 bucks. I have a kid that will be about 5 then. It will be perfect for him.

HAHAHA N64 graphics are you being reallistic, come on. The power that the PS3 and 360 are over the Wii's power but you'll see that it is not much difference. Or can you tell me ow good the grphics are in a Wii or a PS3 and yeah the 360 is out but we need to see the rest that's why I haven't bought any thing yet i'll wait till every console is out.

Nintendo is smart, have none of you taken business classes? They have stated that they dont intend to compete with MS and SONY by shear force, they intend to differentiate their business strategy and catch a different group of gamers. You can have all the power in the world when it comes to your machine but if the overall feel of the play sucks then you lose. It's not about winning, it's about survival and when you talk about Nintendo you are talking about Shigeru Miyamoto. He is the most influential person linked with gaming and brilliant. Nintendo does not have to win the overall war, they will manufacture the Wii at a much lower cost and they wont be loosing millions and millions of dollars in the first three years like SONY and MS will.
Nintendo is very smart and will be around for a very long time. PS3 is stupidly expensive and might just not take off like SONY thinks, Im about as hardcore a gamer as there is but I wont pay 6bills for a gaming unit (you can keep all the BlueRay crap, I dont need it). MS was so much smarter in not having a giant price and Nintendo is smartest of all. Time will tell, bring on the mushrooms!
