So does TL use utorrent? I'm sure thats yet another stupid question.... but I have used utorrent a few times and I have only hit 200 once or twice... whats the trick? I'm port forwarded... and I have at least 3 m

That's indeed a silly question, but i'll answer it nonetheless, as i'm in a good mood ;-)

Yes, you can use ”torrent *and not Utorrent as everyone calls it*
on TL, it might have to do with the number of seeds/peers that the torrents you are connecting to have.
It's not just your connection speed you have to take into account, but the number of people connected, and their possible speeds as well.
Again, since not everyone has cable or dsl, there might be some slow seeders/leechers in the swarm dragging down the speeds.

Well just a quick answer......At TL there is not always alot of seeders especially on the older torrents....So you can't ALWAYS have a gurrenteed(sp) 100/kbs.....but go on....:D

Well the last filesharing program I had before utorrent was kazaa, and kazaa lite and that was only weeks after the whole napster thing.(I had a few years there where I was w/o a pc due to always being on the road/working out of town construction) Now occasionally there are things I cant live without or things I might not find anywhere else so I go looking for a good one.... that brings me to my question. Does anyone know why Ares is considered malicious thru zonelabs or zonealarm I mean? I've gotten alot of things through sourceforge before never anything malicious.. It may be a fluke (sometimes security is too paranoid) but still.... makes you stop the installer real quick.. lol anyways it really doesnt matter I dont guess........ utorrent does the job pretty good... I'm a pdf collector of sorts
