yeah, dont mess with it if it aint broken. So many people briocked their drives upgrading when it already works. very sad.

Thanks. I'm using a Lite-on SHW-160P6S. It was $50 at a local computer shop.

Yeah,
i'm gonna pick up either that or the Pioneer 111D. I heard the Pioneer 111D wont be good for samsungs, but the best for hitachis. ANd also the Lite-on works for both.

Is that true?

Yeah, from what I hear Pioneer works well for Hitachi, but not at all for Samsung which is weird. I can comfirm Lite-on works for both.

If not i'll get the Pioneer AND the Liteon. They are damn cheap compared to a year ago!

Yeah it's crazy. Weren't they about $200 a year ago? It's the same thing with Pro Duo Memory sticks. I can now get a 4GB stick for what I paid for a 1 GB last year.

i remeber when the 4GB SONY MS Pro came out it was a grand lol now it's :$100?

i use MS sticks too, im glad the other type of flash cards arew forceing Sony's MS price down.
