couldnt i use a mem stick with the default firmware installed or something like that and then
press O to fix corrupt settings????

the custom firmware and stuff is on my memstick but it wont load anything from the me stick
the way this strted is the theme1.2 program didnt reinstall the original xmb when i was
resetting it so thee XMB is broken thats all. if only there was a a game that i could use to
open an update thing from within the game. like eloader but i have 1.5 The site llama has
psp repair for 70 bucks and i was wondering if I sould send it in so my motherboard could be
replaced and new firmware installed is it worth it or should i buy new psp?

what if i installed a devhook version on mem stick that had auto startup. then i could do something... or if there was anything that once put on mem stick it started automatically

If you can boot up in custom firmware for haleyg (swich your psp on and then quickly put it on hold) it will boot the blue screen then all you have to do is.Take it off hold connect the usb cable to the psp and comp select usb on/off this wil connect your psp to the comp. Then put a 2.60 or 2.71 UPDATE folder(you cal get these here http://www.psp-hacks.com/category/36 IN THE ROOT of your memory stick then select recovery menu and then start update EBOOT it should then start the upgrade then just downgrade back to 1.50 sorry if you have tryd this or dont have custom firmware i think for the proof of concept firmware you hold the left trigger when you turn the psp on hope this helps dude

I accidentally unflashed something in the recovery scren so the recovery screen is gone but i never installed custom firmware. i wonder how i got the screen. if u can still get the screen just by putting the installation files on memstick then i can just put those back on and im goood to go. wait yes thats it!!!! i think i can fix it. if not ill be back.

bugger i dont think you can boot it from the memory stick if you some how get the recovery menu to start you should b able to fix it mayb

Hey im havinng the same trouble with my psp im gettin the error message and i really need to fix it so if anyone knows how to do ti can they please tell me i need to know how to get t tghe recovery muen back i got it once but hit the wrong one by mistake MY e-mail is baddog_01@hotmail.com or jsut leave something on this sit PLEASE if anyone can help me please help i relly want o have my psp working again...THanks again for anyone that i willing tohelp me

Dam i got to thi recovery menu and i was hit the wrong button by mistake i need to knwo how to get back into the recovery menu then i can fix it so if anyone knwos how to get bak into the recovery menu or but a update forma gaem that will be sick and mad rep thannks for anyones help

hey i know what you can do since you can boot UMD's go buy a nonpatched GTA UMD off of ebay and then run the e-loader and then downgrade your psp. Although it wont be a 2.60, the downgrader doesnt check if its a 2.60 or not, it just writes a new 1.50 flash dump to your psp. you will probably need a memorydtick duo adatper and a memory stick slot on pc becuase you can access your usb, try that i aint responsible for anything though so if it really bricks, then you really havent lost nothing

i have heard this but im not sure if it works, open the psp and when you find the motherboard, there will be a small battery take tht out and leve it for a minute or two im not sure if this works

what custom firmware do you got?
if u got harleyg, try to turn the psp on with the WLAN switch up and see if it boots into 1.50 this happened to me and i found out that my devhook got corrupt and i kept booting into devhook. when i put the wlan switch up, it booted of of the flash 1.50 and the rest was history
