Try to reinstall devhook 46 with the ultimate installer.

Mess with a few more days. If leaving the battery out for a couple hours doesnt help then what I would do is try to get to the XMB. Update it to a newer firmware that has a compatible downgrader and then downgrade back to 1.5 to install fresh 1.5 files. Can you even get to the XMB?

I cant get the xmb. ALso i called sony and i said that i had homebrew cuz i didnt want them
to do something bad but even though i had homebrew they offered me a refurbished psp for
80bucks i didnt buy it though cuz low on $$$ the weird thing is is that it loads the XMB
enough to see my modded xmb then it goes to the error screen

the modchip is expensive in itself (100 USD). then the installation, if you cant do it yourself, is about another hundred bux. you could buy a new psp for that much. boy i wish i could help you out a lil more but I dont know too much about the custom firmwares. never found too much reason to run them. someone here will more then likely post that knows more about them then me.

I hve custom firmware and all it is the recory menu. After that, i try to install the custom firmware 'Dual Boot' (when you hold the L trigger to load Dehook) When i tried it, it froze at the boot up screen. I then Unflashed it and then reflashed it and now it works a charm. This might be off topic, but im telling you my experience so it might help you.
