Send an email to BestBuy.com, explaining what happened, and see what they say. Someone at that store could get in trouble...........

lol thats definatley illegal. they cant choose who to compete with for the cosummer and thats what BB salesguy is doing. Take it back and ask for teh manager!

Well, it was the "Manager" that told me how it was Company policy. And, yes, I did send a message to the Company through their web site, as suggested by JVC. Still waiting for their comments. Not holding my breath. Will post their reply IF received.

I went to Circuit City to try and get a price match from the staples advertisement. I picked up a 50pk. of Sony DVD+R MIJ and took it to the cashier but he noticed that in the advertisement it said 16x speed so he said he couldn't match the price because it was different than what the MIJ spindle. So good luck in trying to price match that at circuit city.

Still waiting for a reply from Best Buy to my concern about their price matching policy. All I got was an Automated reply promising me an answer within 3 business days . . .

Guess that can be read as an answer.

Kind of ironic - the disks in question ARE now on special at BB this week! But, I don't need any more after stocking up at Staples and using an empty ink cartridge discount coupon to boot.
