Agree with you on that Jasper44 I know what all the moochers will get along with the cheap Cd's I bought.Chris
Ya know this use to be a cheap site for me ,got a wealth of information and kept me out of the sales fliers but seems like the last few weeks I've spent more than all year. And still thinkin about doublin up that order.I'm still hoping to get some more Ty's +R cheaper than what I've been paying. ChrisC586& Jasper 44 ! - Agree about The DVD+R !Why can't they put them on sale too ! " Life is just a Cruel Mistress sometimes I suppose LOL!,Sad but often True !!!!" Still one can't complain much ! Verbatims for a little less than what we would have paid for Officedepot Media -before taxes I mean !& regular branded media at that ! As opposed to Silver Shiney's /thermals ect... I would have took those too @ that price point ! but I'm Happy they are what they are ! How Officemax Can do it on 16x media others can't,won't or don't is beyond me ? Though I suppose one could pricematch them somewhere ! But Hey ! They're shipping to my house so no traffic jams ,road trips , wasted gas ect... & did I mention we don't have a Officemax where I live just 1 100miles away? .So It was either let'em ship it free or Maybe pricematch @ Bestbuy (30 Miles away ) so easy choice to make ! Let my Keyboard do the driving !LOL! Well I guess it's true what They Say " You can never be Too rich,To thin, or have Too Many Verbatims !!!!!!!!!!!!! OR Taiyo Yudens...!" LOL! especailly at theese prices anyhow I don't know where I'll hide theese either but I'll find a way ! Happy xmas everyone CiaO!!!

Mail-in unfortunately and goes back to Oct. 31, so if you've ordered DL Verbs previously from NewEgg after Oct. 31, you won't get this rebate without using another address. It usually takes 5-6 weeks to get the rebate and may be longer during the holiday rebate season.

Are the best buy verbatims for $12.99 the 50 pack a good buy??? I have never used them before thats why I ask. I am only used to using the colored fuji (mij) only. If I buy packs of the verbs are there any specs I should look for on the spindle like the fuji spindles???

dipset121 - What aabbccdd said And then some ! Verbatim media is regarded highly right up there with Taiyo Yuden ! Which isn't so suprising as both brands use the same Azo Dye and both companies are tops with quality control & consistency ! Verbatims are A good deal@$12.99 for the 50 pack! but an even better deal @ officemax where the 16x DVD-R verbatims 50pks. are on sale for 50 pack for $7.98 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I like bestbuy pretty much but a bargain is a bargain here is the link mr.hillbilly posted for this sale ! you may want to review his post as well ! http://www.officemax.com/max/solutions/p...OID=-1610650059
Officemax also has free shipping if you order $50.00 or more ! What a bargain These verbatims are an even better deal than the Officedepot media sale and better quality media to boot ! So you may want to order before they get sold out at this price ! (* Trumpet Sounds)!! Charge !!!!!!!!!!!!it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!LOL! Ciao!

I have a feeling the $7.98 price tag on the Verb DVD-R 50 pack was meant for the CD-R only. But when I ordered and saw that OfficeMax was honoring the $7.98 price, I thought I'd let all the forum roommates in on the deal. Wouldn't it be nice if Meritline or Supermediastore ran some Ty's for this price???

WOW. this is insane.
I just ordered 7 (seven) 50 packs of Verbatim DVD-R for $7.98 !!!!!
http://www.officemax.com/max/solutions/p...nOID=-536895600
THAT IS CRAZY DEAL And I just got email confirmation too. ;)
You have to get up to 50$ level for Free shipping. So 7 packs come out to $55.86 + WA tax $4.80 + FREE shipping = $60.66 for 350 Premium Class 1 Media disks.
It cant get any better than this. :)

Thanks alot for all the good information I am going to try to get some over the weekend. I am kinda hesitant with buying the DVD-R media because I have never used -r media before so worst case senario I may just go to staples and make them match best buys price and get them from there. Are there any diffences with the +r or -r media for the verbs??? Should I look for mij or mit on the spindle or there is nothing to look for on the spindle???

dipset121- Only difference of consequence for most anyways between DVD-R & DVD+R verbatims or indeed any brand of media for that matter is DVD+R allows you to booktype your Media to DVD-ROM ! Basicallly it puts a code on your recorded disc that tells your Burner, Drive, DVD player ect...That the DVD+R disc you just lovingly recorded is really a DVD-ROM disc ( even Though technically it's not ) And thus is the most compatibility you can have short of a DVD-RoM ( A Dvd Movie , Game disc , Or Program )Like the Original dvd's you buy versus your backup copy! Other than that DVD-R /DVD+R are about what and what ! if you are'nt having compatability problems (usually older Dvd players ) DVD-R is fine & and just slightly more compatable than non -bookTyped DVD+R ! That being said if you like DVD+R or get better results with your Burner or DVD recorder with DVD+R ( many DVD recorders DVR's Are DVD+R only !) by all means ! Buy and or use them ! The only catch to DVD+R is when buying online in Bulk They are usually more expensive than DVD-R for some reason ! Buying Branded media Like The verbatims, Sony's ect.. the price for Either DVD+R or DVD-R are normally equal ! So The speed reading version on DVD-R is
the DVD-R format will be fine ive used 100s of them ! good luck & happy holidays ***********

Confirmed.
I printed out their web page and took it to a locak B&M OM and the manager honored the $7.98 price. I took one platter up to the counter and after the confirmation I said I want to get some more. He gave me a look and said "how many", I said "three more" and he said "OK". I think that if I tried to push my luck, he would have nixed the whole deal.
I'm happy.

I happened to be near an OfficeMax yesterday so I stopped. One of the sales guys asked if he could help me almost as soon as I got inside and I told him I was looking for the Verbs I saw online for $7.98. He gave me one of those "Yeah Right" looks and we walked to the office so that he could look it up. His "Yeah Right" look changed to an "OOOPS" ! It was PRICELESS!!!!!!!!! He asked how many I would like and I told him 4 because I didn't want to come off as too greedy. As we were going to the cash register, he was telling another clerk about it. Both were saying they were going to stock up when it was time to go home. LOL On my way home, I started thinking about how I wouldn't be surprised to see a sudden increase of Verbatim DVD-R 50 pks. on EBAY in the near future!

mrhilbily- Again thanx for the heads up on the Verbatim sale ! As they say on the CreditCard commercial " Priceless !!!!!" The last time I was able to stick it to a Store on some Verbatims was at my Local /relatively anyways BestBuy ! (30miles -1 way ) I was looking for some Sony's (Mij if they had them !) & I seem to remember either they were sold out ! or Only had the Made in Taiwan sony's - I spied Some Verbatim 50ct. spindles in a cubbyhole near the computer section . The price label said $14.99 which was a deal @ that time & it was also the price from the previous weeks Verbatim sale too ! I snagged 2 packs of DVD+R & headed to the register/Checkout area . All happy-like with my Verbatim find ! When the counter girl got to me she starts to ring the 2 spidles up @ full price $29.99 ea. +tax ! Whoa !nelly " I say !!!!" The are on sale $14.99 That's what the sign says by the computer section ! So I take her to where the Verbatims are she see's the mispriced Price label and Huff's !! back to the register ( HarrhumpH!!!!!!!!!!!!) Long story short I got them @ the sale pice But had to fill out reams of paperwork !, Give a blood sample & promise them my first born Child !!!! LOL! Well I am exagerating about the Child & the blood but not to much on the paperwork ! The counter girl also ripped the price sticker off of where the verbatims were @ too ! which ended up being ridiculous because they went on sale again for the $14.99 price the following sunday ( Ha! , Ha! ha! !!!!LOL! It helps to be nice If they would'nt have given me the price as marked I was going to tell her to stick both spindles somewhere besides the display floor ! Thankfully that was not necessary LOL! Or as Gossip Columnist Rona Barret used to say " Keep thinking those good Thoughts!!! Merry Xmas mrhilbily & everyone Ciao!
