You don't say what type of disks your burned the game on so this could be your reason right here http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/303681

Did usama1992 ever get Lego Star Wars burned? He obviously has the first one as that game DEFINITELY is a CD-ROM game and not a DVD-ROM. I was actually surprised to find out that a game of that ?size? (gameplay wise) was so small and could fit on a CD-ROM.

Use Nero to burn it and you?ll be fine.

Try either DVD Decrypter or Nero then to burn image.
I don't know what your image file is but sometimes peeps make something other than ISO images and you may need to convert the file first.

This site is great and the search function is awesome.
You can find most things and tutorials by typing in what it is you are after. All this stuff takes some time and lots of reading to start with.

You can do a search for converters. I like poweriso myself. There is ultraiso also.
You can try here also for converters: http://www.cdmediaworld.com/hardware/cdrom/cd_utils_9.shtml
At the top of this forum is a software section and you may find things there.

A good place for ps2 tools: http://www.sksapps.com/index.php?page=hd.html

http://www.exploitstation.com/index.php?page=elfs

Another good forum on ps2: http://teammodders.com/forum/

And yes you can find DVD Decrypter on this site by typing in the search button. Nero also in the software section.

Depends on whats your setup. PS2 fat model, or slim. Do you have a hd attached or not.

The games burnt will not boot by themselves no. You either need to have a modded ps2 or use the slide tool or get flip top with the fat PS2, magic keys II for the slim ps2. And then use either swap magic 3.6 or the latest SM 3.8 coder.

Depending on your setup and what you want to do, there are a few ways of getting the games to play as backups.

There are many good tutorials here, just type what you want into the search.

there are some pretty useful guides in these forums so look around theyre prolly stickied. but the best way to become good at these things is trial and error, and a little help from the net as well b4 u start! but if u can buy Alcohol 120% then do it, if not DVD Decrypter should do the job. Always burn and read at the SLOWEST speed possible. some games need to be patched (e.g. Fifa Street 2) and you should look into that if your backup doesn't work.

hope this helps!

extract the iso from any of those files in WinRAR and it (WinRAR) will extract the full iso to your harddrive.

so then how do i burn it on to dvd .like i just burn the ISO's of one of the .r31 , .r32 , .r33 etc files ? btw i already did tht and soemhow the 48.6 mb file (mrndah.r31) turned to 3.71 gb!!! after extracting so does tht include all the files from the torrent ? and if so then when i burned it on dvd and tried it then it only showed the crecdits at the start ? then froze ? i restarted but doesnt work .and my ps2 plays fake/copied disks.

all of those files are linked together so when you extract the .iso WinRAR pulls it from all of them and turns it into one file (hence why its 3.71gb)

you can go ahead and delete the WinRAR files afterwards and burn the iso to a dvd; as far as the freezing part goes, try burning it at different speeds/media.

good luck.

ok to sum up: basically a lot of torrents are split into about 50 .rar files. they are basically parts of a full winrar archive. when u click on one winrar opens up all of them and gets the infomormation for the file. people do this to make the downloads easier (u can download each small winrar file at a time instead of having to wait sooo long for the whole thing) and thats basically it

hello
I have been researching how to burn ISO files to a dvd so that I can play the game on my ps2 but I still don't have it down pack.

I have WinRAR, Nero 6, and dvd decryptor. I downloaded a ps2 torrent, I then opened it with WinRAR and extracted the ISO file.
this is where I can't get it right.
Do I burn the ISO file as an image with Nero using a dvd?
Do I burn the ISO file as data with Nero?
Do I open the ISO file and burn its contents as data to a dvd with Nero
Do I use dvd decryptor someplace?
Do I need a modchip?
I keep getting and error on the ps2 "insert a playstation format disk"
can someone help
thanks

Ok first off to play any backups on the ps2 you need to either have your ps2 modded in some manner, either by a modchip, or by using swapmagic and magic keys II or the slide tool on older ps2's. There are some other exploits as well to boot discs. You can find tutorials in the sticky sections.

Ok once you have your ISO you can either burn it with DVD Decrypter or with Nero Burning Rom and choose DVD-ROM UDF/ISO.

I personally just use dvd decrytper all the time.

I myself have bought from modchip.ca, modchip.com or mod-chip.com
Good service from both. just type the above into google and you will find them. I don't believe you can buy the chip in stores.
The one also sells a premodded ps2.

If u have MDS or MDF files u have to mount it with DAEMON TOOLS. Then get Nero and do a DVD copy from the mounted image to the DVD.
