mit sony's are okay its just not as great as the
mij's. The MIJ sony have been really hard to find now days
especially the pack off 100. some of the guy mentioned that some
staple have them but i pretty much gave up hope on finding mij sony because all i have is best buy and office depot and they almost never have them. so its really up to you to see if you want to find it in another store.

yes you should look for the MIJ sony's if you can get them. they are hard to find.. they are easier to find in the -r format than the +r format... alot of the guys here say the +r mits are pretty good but not Taiyo Yuden.. sonys own brand SD21 i think they are.

Yujenh-I've never ordered online from OFFICEDEPOT yet I have three within 30 odd miles of my house so I just roll there ! I would check their shipping policy first before ordering shipping cost may make it nearly As cheap to order online elsewhere or to pick up other media onsale ! if they have cheap or free shipping it still may be a good deal ! Good luck !Yujenh

thanks again Bigtoxy,
Well, what a coincidence. My OD is about 30 miles away too.
The reason for having to use online is sometime its more convinent.
Even though its only 30 miles but sometimes you just dont have time
to roll over there. I'm still stocked up with all the media i got
over the last 2 month so wont be needing anything unless some super
sale come up or the mij sony's.

I understand that ! but Ya' never know when a suprise clearance sale is going to pop up ! LOL! Good luck & happy Burning ! Me I just wish OFFICEDEPOT would start selling the 8x DVD-R'S in the 50's & 100Pks again instead of that stupid 75/25 mixed veg. DVD/CDR packs - I already have enough CDR 's Besides If they really want to get rid of their old stock of 8xDVD-R Just throw another buy one get two free sale !!!!!! Yeah !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hello guys,
i know this probably sound little cheap to you guys but i guess i am kinda of cheap anyway. why do anyone have to use a Dl disc?? I mean i have a dvdfab platinum and they can split the disc just fine. The DL at that price is still $1.74/disc while you can get
a regular disc at around $.25/disc. I never done a DL before but it might be worth the try.

@dipset121,
to give you little more incentives, the walgreen might be a
good place to look for it but it comes in the pack of 25. however do not blame me for wasting your time if you didnt find them. the other guys mention places like big lot of staples or k-mart. So just roll the dice and see what you get. For me all i get is NADA.
I havent find any MIJ sony's since May 2006.
May the TY's be with you

You can get the 100-pack of Sony DVDs for only $4.98 at Staples. You can get a $20 Staples coupon by signing up for a trial magazine subscription at one of the Staples computer terminals (usually in the furniture section), and then use it to buy these. You need a valid credit card to signup, but you can cancel a week or two later and not be charged. Go over to SlickDeals or FatWallet and search for the thread on the coupon.

Stay away from Ritek GO5 media!! Buy the Ritek 16x media instead. Why? Well lots of people here have had GO5 media go bad within a year myself included. I had to throw away a lot of GO5 movie DVD's then salvage what data DVD's I could by putting the data on the hard drive then burning it to TY media. So I'll never buy 8x GO5 again no matter what the price!
Christmas of 2005 I got a 50 pack of Memorex that turned out to be 16x Ritek F-1 media. I used them for both DVD movies & data discs. The same data was also burned to TY discs as a precaution however the 16x Ritek seems to be still readable a year later as the 4x Ritek GO4 was. I still prefer Tayio Yuden media though. They are the best single layer around with Verb +R DL just as good.
Wundata? I don't know. Never tried them....

Staples:
TDK 30/Pack 4.7GB Snap N' Save? DVD+R - $4.98 +tax w/$5 off $5 coupon (product)
($.18/disc = Good data/video giveaway media. So, spare me from comments about CMC mags and TDK 003 media. This is obviously about the MIJ discs. So, keep your comments limited to the MIJ and with as few "!!!!" as possible, k?)

The person on videohelp was in Germany, where finding TDK branded TY is much more likely. No TDK TYs of any kind, in any form, have been seen in North America for at least a year. However, this doesn't mean I won't be going out to check my local store tomorrow. :-)

Sears has Maxell DVD-R 50 packs on sale for $12.99. Find a 8X MIJ 50 pack and you have high quality MXL RG03's. I still see these occasionally at Staples where you can PM for less.

95MAX- great ! I hardly ever see hear or possibly even smell sears putting anything media-wise onsale ! I've had pretty good luck with maxells either their MIJ media & even some of the Maxells /Riteks G-O5'S Narurally I'm gonna jump on the japanese Maxells given a chance ! But given a good sale price I'd take the ritek versions too ! the only problem I've had with those have been on the price - why pay extra for the maxell name when you're getting ritek's anyway ? especially if you can get the same disc ( RITEK G-O5'S ) @ Officedepot under there brand name usually much cheaper - only differing cosmetically - packaging and brand! their 8x dvd-r's of course! will have to check sears out 95MAX! Thanx for yje info! CIAO!
