Good Tip!
Everyone be aware of this: Staples has a Sale on Sony media, well, Circuit City sells Sony Media to. The will do a "Price Match Plus" if you take Stapes Ad in and ask for a "Price Match plus", you will get the price matched PLUS an additional 10% of the difference in price!
I always work these people for this. Saves a lot of $$$$ !!!
On the Sony DVD Media, you will save an additional 2 dollars!
Or more!
Example: Staples Price- $14.98, CCity price- $34.99=$20.01 difference, 10% of that is $2.00. $14.98-$2.00= $12.98!

Here is another Great thing to do: Both Staples & Office Max will give you $3.00 each for empty Lexmark, HP and Dell ink cartridges to use to buy anything in the Store! Office Max says they limit the empties to 6, but you must spend at least the amount of credit you get that day. Staples will give you Coupons for the empties to use later if you wish. How Cool is that!

i just checked out staples.com and its at teh regular price of 59bucks for 100 or 29 for 50pack. is this in store only or online too?

yea those verbs from office max sucked i took mine back and got the +r's good to go now... ive been using that office depot coupon for the free 10 cd-r printables(od brand. code out as ritek). they only let you use 1 at a time but hey i keep going back. been to 2 different stores i got 60 of them so far. got the wife out now getting 20 more..lol
as far ad the DL disc go. i havent seen any made by SONY. but alot of others do make them.. you only want the ones that VERBATIM make. made in singapore. best on the market.(maybe until TY starts making them)

is there anyway you can buy empty ink jet cartridges?
havent use ink jet printer for almost 5 years. its
hard to find them around the house. probably have to
steal some from friend's house

Sony DL media is made by two companies, Ricoh/Ritek (Made in Taiwan) and Mitsubishi/Verbatim (Made in Singapore). Most of the DL Sony's at Best Buy in the United States are MIT. I have yet to find a report of anyone in the U.S. or North America finding MIS Sony DL disks, but you may get lucky, so check the shelves anyway.

is the ridata media anygood?? i think they were onsale at
supermedia store and i have couple friends using them.
how is it compare to the riteks (OD brand)??
also hows the windata from the microcenter??

Yujenh- My understanding is that Ridata is Riteks Brand of Ritek ! excuse me if it sounds redundant or silly ! And while I have no direct experience with Ridata disc themslves ! I have used both Officedepot Braned & Maxell Branded Media That are Ritek's sold under the other two brands name . and found them Very good ! No they are'nt Taiyo yuden or verbatims quality wise but still good media ! That being said As long as your burner likes them & you don't get a bad batch ( can happen with any brand ) A Ritek G-05 is a Ritek G-05 no matter who put's their name on the wrapper or label surface ! So as I see it the only differences should be cosmetic's & packaging & price ! eg: Maxells 8xDVD-R are or were Ritek G-05's & officedepot 8X DVD-R's are also Ritek G-05's But they are often sold at prices much cheaper than the maxell & are every bit as good differing comsetics aside ! You can still find the OFFICEDEPOT 8x DVD-R's now they sell a Split Spindle 75DVd-R's & 25 Cdr's if that helps-" What is the difference between Ritek and Ridata?
Ritek is the manufacturer and Ridata is Ritek's own brand name. Ritek Ridata stands for top quality of Ritek DVD media" lifted from ritek add @ supermediastore.com ! good luck!

The Ritek DL media has always burned OK for me. However, there is no question that the burn quality is much better for Verbatim DL media. Since Verbatim can often be had for $1.50 per disk or less, these Sony-branded Ritek DL disks are really no bargain.

basically Ritek G-05 = Office depot 16x= MIT sony??? so just buy them whenever they are cheapest right?? they were onsale at supermedia store for 600pack for 105 before shipping but its 8x i think.
does anybody know if the OD is going to have that 100 pack of OD media for 19.99?? I knew they have it arond Xmas time but i happended to missed it because of those crappy office max verby sale.
does anybody know if that one time deal or not??

Yujenh- The officedepot branded media sales seem to run in cycles !They'll have them onsale , then sony's or verbatims or they'll have them OD brand onsale a couple times in a row -Mostly hundred packs @ the price you mentioned & occasionally 50 pks at varying price points but usually cheaper than the Bigger Name media ! So if your not in a big hurry just wait a week or two !& sometimes they have a Buy one get two free sale & you can really clean up !If Saugmon does'nt clean the shelves first LOL! Other than that you can try Newegg or one of the online retailers but sometimes that's slightly higher in price With shipping ect.. wait'em out if you can good luck & happy burning !
