sorry that I didn't expressed myself good. I've movies on harddisk with AVI and I'm not able to convert these to playable DVD , because the format is not accepted by my DVD Player
I do have juste the movies (mostly in AVI) and a dvdburner and further NO knowledge how to convert and with what ..?

What on earth made you think this was the right thread to post that much asked question?
Do a search on AVI to VOB ! [search box , then type in 'avi to vob' or 'avi to dvdr' ...enter/go]
Perhaps scour the DVD Discussion Forums and you'll find an answer...

Folks I need some help. The irc guide was good, but it did not cover how to search/download/upload/share files. Could anybody point me to a good tutorial on the subject?

nahh, it's old and outdated now. i suppose if it brings a few people in now and then, i guess it's somewhat useful.

I don't think it's outdated...still looks good to me and does cover the basics and how to get into ad_buddies.
