Can someone help me?

So I burned the ISO files with IMGburn onto my TDK DVD+Rs just like the tutorial said, the game reads on the wii menu, but for some games, when I push start, it says that the 'Disc Cannot be Read'. Another game I burned starts fine, I play for a bit, then the same error message appears. Also I can't even choose some particular options in the menu.

I read that other people use TDK DVD+Rs and it's fine but I also read that Verbatim DVD-Rs are better.

Could this be a problem with my media (TDK DVD+Rs)? my burning software (IMGBURN)? or my dvd burner? Or that I updated my system prior to playing?

Someone help...Everytime I see it start, I get so excited! But it ends up being a bust!!!

Maybe it's the region of the game? What is the region of your system and what is the region of the game?

As is stated in hundreds of threads round here...

If the .iso file is good, then burning on verbatim disks at 4x with ImgBurn will work without any problems.

The Wii laser on the Wii drive can be picky with media it will read. You can not compare your DVD or Xbox to the Wii because they all have differences in the sensitivity when it comes to media.

It has been suggested numerous times in this thread to try Verbatim or Tayio Yuden media and burn with ImgBurn at X4. If you have not tried other media then buy some and try it.

Make sure the games are the proper region and if they are Imports make sure they are region compatible with the region your Wii system is.

My last suggestion is to make sure the Modchip is installed and working properly with latest Modchip Firmware installed.

thanks for the help , i really appreciate it, ok mod chip i have no idea, i sent it to colombia since its way cheaper over there, my daughter brought back over50 games that they cost around 1 dollar, they are burn on TDK and verbatim, is there any way i can find out what mod chip i have? but my main question still is , if the game says its a Kawasaki Snowmobiles\zry-ksp.iso could i burn with disc juggler? when i try i get this message Kawasaki Snowmobiles\zry-ksp.iso is not a valid CD image, when i try decrypetr i get, invalid or unsopported image file format...........so my issue right now is not that the wii cant read , is that i just cant burn

How many times do you have to be told...

Use ImgBurn, verbatim disks at x4 speed.

What part of this is too taxing for you to grasp ?

sheesh.

You will find it hard to get support with an attitude like that. Show a little respect for those that offer the help your asking for.

If you read and followed what others have suggested they wouldn't have to repeat themselves. You keep bringing up Disc Juggler and Decrypter. Neither of these have been recomended so why are you using them?

As for the Modchip you have either ask the installer what they placed in it or open the Wii up and figure it out.

i'm a total newbie as well, but i actually search for the answers as the question is likely to have been asked many times.

some people are just sooo lazy and expect answers to be spoon fed to them.

Wow, people are real A-holes to the new modders on here. Knowing how to mod and burn games doesnt make you god, it makes you a nerd lol. Be patient with people, and stop being so rude, cause it makes me want to kick your teeth in lol.

Smoke a bowl and start loving your fellow nerd.

I may be a newbie to Afterdawn but dont let that fool you. If anyone has any questions, please feel free to e-mail me. Ill happily answer your questions without any A-hole remarks. Ill also only give you the information you need, and not a buncha crap in disguise.

***email removed by loco***

Also, Ive tried searching for "answers" on this site, and let me tell you....there are 5 answers in 1000 pages of random crap. Its hard to find what you are looking for exactly, so yeah, sometimes asking whats wrong is easier and less of a headache than searching through countless threads. Thank you and goodbye.

Lol, thats retarded. Ive had enough of Afterdawn already. Goodbye xD Totally GAY.

Sorry to all you people who have to deal with these assholes who dont want to talk a minute out of their day to calmly explain something or even try to understand your problem.

Remember, not everyone out there is unwilling to help.

To sum things up. I download my games through torrent, or IRC. I then patch if necessary and brickblock, then I burn with IMGburn at 4x. I have used Magnavox media, Verbatim, Memorex, and Maxell, and all have worked. Also, update your wii before trying any games, so the game wont try and update the wii itself. Also, I use D2SUN V3.0 modchip with Wiiclip V12. I have 0 issues and probably never will. Goodbye.

Someone please help! Here's where i'm at. I have Metroid Prime 3 iso. I have TDK 1-16x DVD+R (compatible, i checked). I use IMGBurn. But when i open it, at the bottom of the app it says Device Not Ready (Medium Not Present) . Is this my DVD drive or something? Or a broken ISO/Disc or what? Thanks.... (If you reply).

A 'device not ready' error usually means that the drive is wearing out or the disk is incompatible.

If you have any other brand of disks laying around see if it can see them. I'd also try those TDK's in another computer to see what happens.

I also strongly suggest you try and get Maxwell DVD-R's ITs what I have been using and I never had a problem! Also make sure to burn at a very slow (4x) speed.

VGM out...

I knew you needed a specific burner. Instead of modding can't you just softmod or use WiibreWare? Also I had know idea you had to buy a specific kind of DVD-Rs can't you just use any? Somebody just please explain what are the requirements and explain how to burn them correctly. So then we can say ohh now I get it and move on with our lives and let this tangled mess of threads come to an end.
Thank You

Oh, i actually think my DVDs are fine (maybe). Because i went onto ImgBurn and.... Tools - > Drive -> Capabilities. And under Write it only said CD-RW CD-R. So i presume its my DVD drive..?

If anyone has used...
TDK DVD+R 1-16x
Sony DVD-R 1-8x

Let me know if they're any good =].

I should be getting a new computer, so hopefully that will be able to burn ISOs.

Thanks for replying =].
