Well shut my mouth...I just stated I Ive only gotten the TYGO3 [16x] media a few times [I get alot of the value line stuff when on sale] and today I got 300 of them...happy days

Just to let you guys/gals know I got my Value line 8X TYG02's in today and they are just that as promised by SMS. Gotta love 'em (SMS & TY) :D

About to burn a movie and see how that goes, like we don't know how it should but you just gotta try to make sure all is well. :)

@herrick,
You ordered the 16X or the 8X?? And which do you prefer?? QS and playback have been GOOD with both media. I've burned about 150-175 of the TYG03's and about 50 of the TYG02's and the only coasters I've made are my mistake not the disc's.

I ordered the value line and crossed my fingers... the last 500 where TYG02s and before that I got some TYG03s three different times but thats it, and to day I got TYG03s. As for play back I really like the TYG03s but I have not tested them on a digital TV yet only on my analog...I cant remeber the last coaster, and its always my fault... GO TY

just got my assorted box of 100 in yesterday.put the order in last week, was told they were shipped friday/saturday and got them yesterday... now thats fast.dont know which to burn first, the 8x+r TY's or the 8x-r TY's or the 8x+r verbs or the 8x-r verbs...lol

hows a guy to make all these decisions???

ASSORTMENT pack?? HOw do you order one of those? hehehehehe!!! Hope you have some luck with your ASSortment of discs and they perform well. Post some of the results in the scan thread so we can ogle them for our enjoyment. :P

abcd you been getting the TYG03's when ordering the "value line" from SMS? I just ordered the TYG02's but they were on sale for $24.99 delivered. Thought that was a great deal for a 100 pack of TY quality discs. :)

they should be worth the extra money by now days right??
i havent get to use too many of those because of price

we talked about them 8x dvd-r DL TY's in the old thread. a friend pointed this link out to me for some.. they look sweet but when ya look at the sticker price yuor jaw will drop...

did he bought. it seems to me its kinda strange to have
that kinda expensive item for sale and its sold out.
whats the average price for a verbatim DL??
i knew the 2.88/disc have to be at least twice as expensive.

as far as the price for a DL verb you can catch them on slae for about 1.30-1.50 a disc.

seeing taht TY is getting into the DL game im sure those prices will come down.

If you look at the specs for those TY DLs, I think they are better than anything out there right now, 8x rated burn speed. I think the Verb DLs max @ 4x, upto 6x on overspeed. The TYs are also HUB PRINTABLE, which no other DL currently is.

Rima has 2.4x (up to 6x) Verb printable DLs for 2.40 ea. in a 20 pk

Meritline has 2.4x (up to 6x) Verb printable DLs for 2.70 ea when you buy 100

If you consider this, the price quoted is not out of line.
