I'm having the same problem zedmo was having. I can't down sample half of the pss files. Illegal bit stream error. Has anyone figured this out yet?

OK so I got the pss files downsampled. I just tried agian but this time I checked the Force ADPCM box and it worked. I followed through with the rest of the guide and played the game, and the result was the same as the one I downloaded. At the Great Chasm level the movie doesn't load leaving me stuck. Also if I jump off the cliff the game will not load from the you are dead screen. If I followed this guide exactly, why do I end up with the same results.

Wow, I can't believe everyone ignored this guy. This method worked awesome for me and its so simple:

Alternate method

As far as I can tell my game will be fine having used this method.

If you want to try it; ignore it if it says that there's was an error reading the audio file.

i have a question regarding steps 10 and 12 of your GOW2 rebuilding process.
where do i put the part2.pak file that i created in step 10 in step 12 wherein i use cd dvdgen?

Sorry to revive an old tread but I was wondering if anyone knows how to get past the ilegal bit stream error on the part2 pss files of the GoW2 guide on pg 1. I think it is the same as what zedmo and chaos talked about but I tried what choas did and it didtn't fix it. I have tried both v1.00 and v1.01

1st PSP: 2.6 > 2.71 > 2.81 > 3.3 > sold (week later 3.5 downgrader came out)

2nd PSP: 2.0 > 1.5 > 3.40 oe-a > semi brick > 3.40 oe-a > semi brick > 3.40 oe-a > semi brick > 3.40 oe-a > semi brick > 3.40 oe-a (was semi bricking evertime i went into the recover menu) > deleted Flash1 > 3.40 oe-a (working perfectly) > 3.71 M33-2 (Via. Pandora's Battery) > 3.71 M33-4 > 3.71 M33-4 (With 1.5 Kernal add-on) > 3.90 M33-3 (With 1.5 Kernal add-on)
