I ran across some Imation DVD-R's at an OfficeDepot in Houston today. They were having a red tag sale so I asked a salesman if they had any DVD's on sale. He took me to the back of the store where a table was. On that table were boxes of all kinds of stuff. Well in 4 boxes I found all this Imation media. 100 packs of 16x at $10 each. Also there were 50 packs of Imation 16x at $5 each Four 25 packs at $2.50 & four 50 packs of Imation CDR's at $5 each. I took all they had...

Ten 100 packs, Twelve 50 packs & four 25 packs all DVD's. The 100 & 50 packs said made in India which turned out to be MBI as I tested one in DVDInfoPro. The 25 packs of 8x Imation said made in Tiawan & turned out to be CMC.

The CDR's will bacome audiodiscs. Thats all I use CD's for now.

As to the DVD media I know it won't test as good as TY or Verbs.

Test burned one 8x disc & one 16x disc at 8x speed then ran some scans on both discs. They were good although my TY & Verb scans are better.

I thought (in the store) about selling all the packs on Ebay & perhaps making a little money. Instead I may as well burn them all after running out of 615 4x speed Verbs I have left that were bought from Meritline a few months ago.

1650 + 615 = 2265 discs. Thats gonna last a good long while. My only question is the longevity of the Imation stuff. Who knows?

You should have bought th OD store brand DVDs, they code out as ricohjpn and very decent media.

Well there would be a lot less Ebay profit if I had bought the OD brand. Besides they were out of OD 50 packs & the 100 packs were in the $40 range. But then I still prefer TY first & Verb second which is why I may go ahead & sell the remaining unopened packs instead of using it myself.

bratcher I agree with garmoon on the media. :) I've had great luck with ricohjpn stuff and I think that creaky even likes that MID/manufacturer. :D I would put the Imation stuff on eBay and let her go for a profit!!

If you can get by OD this evening. My OD store gets a truck in on Fridays and Saturdays with the sale items normally. NOT always tho so don't hold me to it. :P

What No 8/20 to 8/27 sales yet ? LOL!!!! Got my buy on the Officedepot DVD+R'S so I suppose I'm good for awhile ? But your always looking Ya' Know ? - Besides with all his Classes Jasper44 needs a break evert now and then just like the rest of us ! I purchased a 15-pack of those Dynex DLs and right now I'm 1 for 5. Not very happy camper! Each time I get an error message that the media is bad. After trying 3 or 4 times I'll throw a Verb DL in and away it goes. Guess I'll wait till Verbs go on sale...

to my surprise, the dynex dl work. 1 for 1 so far. made a backup of my game( burnt at 2.4x) no problems
