I think he plays on a 30inch screen 2560x1600 and he turns on AA.
Is AA more useful on a smaller or bigger screen?

not really screen size, more for less dots/inch. aka smaller res.

hey waymon! u have two 3870's in cross fire. how is the performance. o and i have a question do u need aa for crysis if u have 3850 512mb and what about anti-alising.

The performance is great, well compared to what other cards get... I run it at very high settings, usually 1152/864 but now I'm starting at 1280x1024 so I dont have to use AA - and thats with the Ultra High config as well. Crysis still doesnt work with CF, nor with Quad core CPUs. I believe that the 1.1 patch fixed the AA bug - I may be mistaken but I do see a nice performance hit when I turn it onto 4x - a good 10fps.
CF and Sli will be fixed and working in Crysis when the 1.2 patch is released, so I am waiting for that one.
To answer your question, a 3850 512mb card could probably play all high @ 1024/768, maybe with a slightly higher resolution. Crysis is very tweekable, and the 1.1 patch improved performance tremendously - so be sure to download it.

It's 2500 and safety valve posts don't count.
As for Crysis, graphics aside it's a VERY fun game to play. The Physics rock!

- Damage dealt to vehicles when shot by LAW has been made consistent - F12 (screenshot) now works in restricted mode as well
- When player melees during gun raise animation, their gun will not be in a permanently raised position anymore
- Memory leaks and potential crashes
Updates:
- Improved SLI / Crossfire support and performance
- Improved overall rendering performance (DX9 and DX10)
- Enabled VSync functionality in D3D10
Tweaks:
- Reduced grenade explosion radius in multiplayer
- Clamped water tessellation to avoid cheating in MP
- Reduced LAW splash damage vs. infantry in PowerStruggle mode
- Slowed Rocket projectile speed down in MP slightly

If only they existed. Anti-Aliasing is needed just as much at 2560x1600 as for 1024x768. There may be more pixels, but if there's a jagged edge, it still shows up just as much. Jagged edges are unpleasant. Of course, if you run a non-native resolution, anti-aliasing is applied by default by the scaling process, even if not quite as well.

So you're confirming that AA does work with Crysis?
Also, I do download games, COD4, Sim City Societies and about 25GB of other programs/games on my 3rd HDD are filled with Dlls. I just didnt want to cheat Crysis - and also because my parents bought it for me without me knowing.

Well then don't call other people cheap if you download games as well. It's not like Crysis is special or is cheaper so you can't tell people "I'm not that cheap".

not nessicarliy. as there are more pixels. in a round object, it will look more rounder.
if there were 10 pixel to make a "." and then on a lower res you use 3 pixel to make a "." then the "." would show up as more square and have clearer edged, than in a higher res.
