Hey guys, I appreciate all the advice that has been given so far.
Good news is that my friend says that the disc burnt at 8x worked perfectly! Thanks all for your help!

Chalk up another one for the problematic TYG03s. I'm from the school that if you have to slow the rated burn speed down, you have a bad burner/media match and should look elsewhere.
