All you need is an Epson printer like the r200 series, the r300 series, r800, rx580 or rx680.

Not according to the Lexmark product page I found for your printer.

http://www.lexmark.com/lexmark/product/h...00.html?tabId=1

You'll have to write on a DVD with a sharpie.....

I found an Epson R380 on a local online yardsale and got it for $60.

It has hardly been used, but the box did not include a CD/DVD printing tray.

Anybody know where I can get one?

This was a fair while back when I got my R320 but I read there was a potential problem with the shipped tray (something about the leading edge) and I just contacted Epson who sent me a new one free. By the way, if there was a problem, I haven't seen it. Shouldn't cost much even if you had to pay for it.

I have the R300 and my settings are:

<> inner diameter is 20
<> outer diameter is 119
<> adjust print position is 0.2 mm to the Left

Been awhile, but the results sure looks beautiful.

So Ive tried what's listed here (changed settings) for the little white ring and I still get it. Its extremely frustrating. I'm making sure that the outline is on the edge. I've tried everything I think and the only thing that changes is how big the line is at the top. Anyone have any more suggestions?

120 is fine here, maybe try that. Make sure when you adjust the print, the edge doesn't intersect the outline at all. Also, sometime's the edge has to be set beyond the outline to make it fit, too far is fine, too little and a white line in the print. And I seem to remember having some trouble with the print position setting, up actually moved the printing down. Hope all this make's sense, kinda hard to explain.

Well, I'm done with trying to figure this out. I have no problem making the white line bigger but smaller seems to be an impossibility. Seems odd they didn't make this fool proof and user friendly and I wish I would have known Epson wanted to make it a challenge for customers to use the disk printing feature. I know what type of printer I'm NOT getting next time around. At least it prints good photos.

:(

What printer/model is yours? I have the R300 and my settings are:

<> inner diameter is 20 (19 is good too)
<> outer diameter is 119
<> adjust print position is 0.2 mm to the Left

<><>To adjust your inner and outer settings<><>

* Open EPSON PrintCD
* File, Inner/Outer Diameter Settings...
* choose Custom CD
* now adjust Inner to 20 & Outer to 120, click OK

Now if you're like me, I don't know why, maybe it's my printer that I have to make a tiny adjustment. Maybe it's how the tray load when it's printing, but with the settings below all my printable backups looks beautiful.

* File
* Adjust Print Position
* click on left arrow twice to make it 0.2M to the left
* click OK

How are you guys getting an image to print on to the DVD-R.

Are you just scaning the origional DVD?

And if so....at what DPI are you scanning the origional.

what exactly is the problem Mistycat? You can scan your disks at 150% and it will practically fit perfect to the Print CD/DVD program! I scan at 300dpi and you see the results. I only buy Taiyo Yuden DVD+Rs, 8x, white inkjet printables or silver inkjet printalble, both code out to YUDEN000T02. The best media around!

IHoe,

I just bought some TY DVD-R 8x white inkjet hub printable DVD's for my backups, but I was wondering what you use the silver inkjet printables for?

What is the difference between the 2?

Also the TY's that I bought were manufactured by TY for a company called Linko.....I got them from the supermediastore, but I wonder if they are the same quality? Where did you find the code that you just posted for those TY's that you bought?

Josh,

Thanks for the offer, but I already have one on the way that I bought off of eBay.

I bought a used R340 and went on vacation the next day. For some reason I thought that I had bought an R380 and while I was on vacation I bought a tray for an R380 off of eBay. I was already to go when I got home and the tray was there waiting for me, or so I thought. I couldn't figure out how to make the R380 tray fit into the R340 tray receiver which is about an inch to small for the R380 tray. So....I'm currently in a holding pattern until the other one gets to me. Fun fun fun!
