i rented spidey 2. I have an hp dvd burner. I used Alcohol 120% Trial Version to burn onto my DVD-R. The discs I used and still use are Maxell. I have backed up 5 games, all with same burner, software and discs. They work perfect. Memorex discs are the worst to burn anything on. I burned Spidey 2 on A memorex, and it froze, studdered, halted, you name it. Take my advice and go with Maxell, TDK or Verbatim, if you're already not. And if you are then switch burning programs. I had problems with DVD Decryptor.

! me what im doind for spider-man 2 !
rip Spider-man 2 using "DVDencryter" save as a .ISO somewhere in your pc - like in a new folder -
don't touch the label name ,don't rename anything of the rip u do ,
and then using "EasyCD Creator 7" <---- that my program for burning most of my .iso games- always work
EasyCD Creator 7 :
1-open Creator Classic
2-go to " File " and then " Burn from a Disc Image File "
3-click on " Details>> " to choose a Recorder and the writting speed , " most time is better to write on the slowest speed ( 1X , 1.385kb\s ) some may not be able to change the speed ! it's ok !
4-BURN (never open other program during the writting)

Hi Xman. This is my first post, as I've learned a lot by simply lurking, hence the nickname. Anyway, it appears we have the same setup, and have shared in the same problem. I generally rely on cheap off brand names that I buy from Tiger Direct at bulk price. Most of the time, I never have a problem while using Decrypter, at least until now. I've gone through at least 10 blanks on this one. The first sign of trouble shows up early as Decrypter attempts to do a read on this disc. The read errors begin to mount upwards of ridiculous, before I wind up bumping the desktop after while. I know, there's probably no way to expect an accurate read after smacking the puter, but the thing usually hums along at about a rate of 1.9x afterwards. In 30 mins., an attempt can finally be made at a burn. I've never spent so much time filled with anticipation watching that progress bar, only to see it fail literally every time under a few minutes.
Nero doesn't fair any better, as it rejects every attempt like arsenic poisoning. I've effectively lost at least 10 bucks in blanks on this one, and am frustrated. Their really appears to be no logical explanation for this. I don't know everything about the specifics, or breakdown analysis of the reports generated by decrypter, but shortly after it completes the "lead-in" is where the early sectors begin giving my system problems. Swap Magic didn't offer any general advice on this one, as it appears this is just one of those exclusive things a few will experience. Decrypter is a very strong and robust program that has virtually worked every time without fail until now. I'd like to believe that maybe I simply need to tinker around with the options or something. Any additional help from anyone would be greatly appreciated.

cause its not very funny losing 10 DVD-R ,
" all failed underbufferrun "
u can try burnning another one and make sure that your burnning software is the only programs running and don't open others !
don't put a screensaver and make sure that it won't goes on stand by !

Hi
I have everything running as well when i copy my games anti virus etc and do not have any problems. As you can see my pc is not one of the high tech ones ( one day it will be ) Siderman 2 works without any problems on the silver messiah ps2 and also one of the very old ps2 flip up lids. I read and copy all ISO files with DVD Decrypter and i always use Data safe dvd's as i have never had any problems with this media i have Nero 6 but don't use it for my games.

This is a reply to my own post a few days ago, in a attempt to help anyone else who may experience a future similar problem. After extensive research, and testing specific to my DVD Drive, the answer to it all has become relatively simple. After over a year of service, my HP Drive has chosen to retire (There are a lot of unhappy HP owners of this drive out there: HP DVD 200i). I recently relocated, and shortly after began experiencing problems with the drive. A few bumps here, and there, may have been enough to disrupt the laser inside. HP has been known for their relative rudeness to customers, so I don't expect to catch a break from them since the warranty has expired. I don't look forward to replacing the thing. But when I do, I hope to find another that is more durable. I noticed there's a lot of talk around about Plextor drives. Aside from performance, can anyone attest to their durability? TIA
