i having a problem i shouldent be having i backed the game with record now and the swap magic border turns blue but the game wont load could the save screen be the problem since it starts when the game loads
dont fix it if it ain't broke

Try cdloader/dvdloader, perhaps your PS2 version requires it to load up correctly. I know that for v9, v10 PS2s its not needed.

I dont know why I posted this link. I dont think Spiderman 2 requires CD loader. This game should just boot using swap magic DVD 2.0. Although I have a V4 system and the game boots fine. I'm not sure about your version?

i have a V7 PS2+SM and boots fine for me, i doesnt need cdloader
also boots fine with cogswaploader

I have a v5 USA PS2 and my backup of Spider-Man 2 works fine without CDLoader or TOC refresh.

i burned using dvd decyptor game works almost perfectly when i play the game often freezes alot

Does anyone manage to load Spiderman 2 backup DVD on a v9/v10 without the use of swap magic? I mean like a direct boot? I have a v10 with magic V and it seems the game will just goes into the memory card browser screen everytime it loads.
I am a hardcore gamer~~!

I got a PS2 vers/10 with FlipTop mod, and I'm using Swap Magic vers/2.0. Tried to backup Spidey 2 three times using DVD Decrypter and was unsuccessful on each attempt to play the game. Any ideas?

Try Alcohol 120 it works 100%.
My spiderman 2 plays perfect.

i used nero6 and it worked fine on my v5 ps2 with magic v chip

i thought i was having trouble w/ spidey 2 but it was my impatience, after swapping disc and pressing x the screen just goes blank and i thought it wasnt working but it comes on after about 30 seconds(seems like 10 minutes when waiting)....
also the game dosent freeze but the movie cut scenes stutter sometimes but does not bother me..
V7 ps2, flip top, swap magic discs
sony u14 dvd writer, sony pcv-w1
go4 discs

any help here please. i have just tried to make a back up of spiderman 2. Its been along time since i made a ps2 backup as i have not bought my kid any games in a while. Last time I did I used nero (again not update in a while)and did a straight DVD copy and it works fine. My PS2 is chipped with the messiah chip done about 3 years ago.
Can anyone suggest a simple way to get back on track with backups my kid is good but does have occasional off days so it would be useful.Sonic 2 also has problems but not shrek2 why is this?
With both the spiderman and sonic disks i get the playstation 2 up alright and then nothing . do i have to wait for longer or something??
just tried sonic again and that plays fine just spiderman to get working now

I am having problems two. Spidey 2 loads after about five minutes and stutters and freezes so much I have to turn it off. Wot the ?#%* is going on!!!

i really dont have any trouble shooting tips as such, i just use DVD Decrypter for all my games, iso read to hard drive, then iso write to blank, what helped the stutter problem with spidey 2 is writing at 1x...

i d/l spidey 2 and when i go to unrar it keeps asking for a password and the files are encrypted.
anyone know how to help?

My spidey problem and sonic problem were both resolved by using DVD Decrypter to burn instead of Nero. Both work fine no problems at all.
