Alright to clear all uncertainness about whether i have done all it says in the forums. I have read an innumerable amount of threads regarding Port forwarding, Read the one in the beginning of the forum page, Used the information on Portforward.com (including setting up a static IP), Azureus guides (both the afterdawn.com one and others posted on the internet), Also tried my fair share of BT clients with no success (Bitcomet, Original Bittorrent, Azureus, Bittornado).
At one point my download speed was going at an average of 85 kb/s but it did not last long. On Azureus my smileys have never gone green except when downloading something for azureus itself e.g. the update patch, or java client. The worst part is after so much fiddling with my router, firewall, seprate client settings now i have very little if any activity. I seem to have made things worst.
As of now i officially gave up and reset my router, windows firewall and clients to their default mode. I am seeking help to try this again because i have 4MB connection and i dont think it should go to waste.
Here i give you my hardware specifications:
Router: Motorola WR850G
ISP: Time warner (Road Runner)
SPeed test from DSLreports.com:
2005-07-14 18:15:44 EST: 4511 / 352
Your download speed : 4619341 bps, or 4511 kbps.
A 563.8 KB/sec transfer rate.
Your upload speed : 360587 bps, or 352 kbps.
Prefered BT clients: Azereus, Bittornado, Bitcomet
Prefered Torrents site: Torrentspy.com, THepiratebay.org, Torrentsearch.US
If any one could help me (i know im the thousandth person asking this) it would be greatly appreciated. I now have 0kb/s downloading with all torrents i download.. so basically im screwed.
