VCD slideshow won't play on my Samsung DVD player

Hi. My problem is that the VCD slideshow that Nero says has been burned successfully using my TDK recorder will not work in my home DVD player. Nero says it automatically converts the photos to MPEG-1, and my player does play MPEG-1s. But it won't play those from Nero. When I had (ahem, ECDC), the burned VCDs worked just fine on my DVD player. Any suggestions? Thanks.
