Thanks for your response. I have downloaded CDImage. I will try creating an iso of my data and will let you know. From your explanation, I have a general idea what CDImage is doing to the data. Basically, if there are duplicate files, only one copy of the data is maintained and both the directory entries point to the same data area. Is that correct ?
Another query. If I use image recorder from nero, it allows me to save image as nrg or iso file. What is the difference between the two ?
Thanks once again.

I gotthis game Rome Total war from a friend of mine and it contains 3 files from it which is CD1 CD2 CD3
each files contains rar files, then I extracted them
and I got BIN file in CD1 BIN and CUE in CD2
BIN and CUE in CD3, so what I do next is using alcohol 120% I mounted the CUE files in CD 2 and 3
then burn that CUE mounted file into 2 CD-R
so... next I mounted the BIN file in CD 1 so it does create
an imaginary CD so that I can install it, and then
my problem is when it requires CD-2 then I inserted the CD-2 I got from burn the CUE file to continue the installation, I got error message something like make sure you got file "bla bla bla" then it doesn't work.... did I do something wrong/missing in burning
CD-2? Im really confused, please help me >_<! thanks before!

please help! i have a problem with my alcohol 120%. i recently downloaded 2 games (both bin files) and their cue files. i am trying to burn it on cd with alcohol. i go straight into the image burning wizard, from there i browse and select the cue file (the cue file and its bin file is in the same directory), i click next, i select writing method dao/sao (which is default), i dont click any other box (except rectify sub channel data which is also by default selected), the i click start. it writes the file on the cd with success. then i look into the cd, its full but no file appears. i tried this on other games and always the same, cd full but no file or directory on the cd. thanks. ps : same happens with Nero.

to 2tocoops, sorry if I have got the name wrong and am two weeks late. When I want to transfer VCD or SVCD to dvd (there are normally two cds) I extract the avseq files, sometimes the extension is .DAT so I try running it through DVDlab, if that doesnt work, I try Ulead which usually works, (both programs you can add the two avseq files and then chapterise if you want) If that doesnt work, I then change the .DAT extension to .MPG and sometimes this will run with Divx2dvd, or if not I go back to ULead. I do get there eventually!! but quite frankly even SVCD are not the best quality.

Right, then...does anyone know how I can get a media file to open in a specified player when it auto-loads?...for instance, if I convert a media file to an iso, can I get it to play in a media player other than the default player?

HI. I'm not sure how to burn the following onto CD. I have 3 files (for the same CD): a .img, .ccd, and a .cue. I am currently using Alcohol120 and it seems Alcohol can use either the .ccd and the .cue for burning on the cd but i dont know which one to use.
Oops! just noticed that i have a fourth file: a .sub but no program on my computer seems to open it :(
In case it matters, the .img = 573MB
.ccd = 772bytes
.cue = 77bytes
.sub = 23.4MB

Can anyone help me with this pc rom game i d/led?
I d/led YuGiOh.Power Of Chaos.Yugi.The.Destiny. from suprnova, and i saved it in my file. I extracted the RAR file. everything went good. i have alcohol 120% and burnt the .bin file. set image type Data Mode 1; checked the Raw box. i set the block size to 2352, header and trailer to 0. that was good. then i went to gamecopyworld.com and got a mirror for a no-cd crack. i got the archive and replaced the original YUGI_PC.EXE executable with the one i d/led. and the game works. But nows the problem!! i was all happy and playing the game, sound and graphic are excellent. but in like 5 minutes or so, the game just shuts off, by itself and returns to my desktop. Can anyone help me fix this problem?? im going insane trying to figure it out. Thank you

How do I actually view the .bin files? I understand how to copy the files to a CD, but how do I "play" the files? If the file extension is .mpg, .wmf, etc. I know how to play the file, but not .bin.
Thanks!

If any one wants to know wat is in the bin file u can get an idea from the cue file just open it up using not pad or word pad there should be a mode thing if its says mode 2 this is prob a pc game or something simliar, if mode 2 this could be a film or something simlar. i used Alcohol 120% i burnt the file using this on to a disk, the program burnt it as the thing it should be a game.

I have this pc game unreal tournament 2004 that I just downloaded recently. However, the files are in .bin and .cue and there are ( I think) 6 or 7 CD files that end in those formats. How can I burn them onto CD-Rs with Nero? And once I do burn them onto CD-Rs, how can I play the game on the computer? (Will I need to convert further or something?)

firstly 'black101' i know that there are other products out there that can be used but ive not not bothered to look at them. i dont know wat undisker does but if u want to keep the alcohol 120% [REMOVED]
right 'DJStyle' yes i have had the game unreal tournament 2004 its good, it is a big game. the bin and cue files should be in order e.g 1234... this is because the game is so big the it is spilt into parts. all you have to do is to burn them in order so you dont get mixed up usinging nero or alchol 120% i use alchol 120%. to play the game u you will have to install each of the cd's, beacause you have downloaded the game this will mean that it will run off your hard drive not the disk however you may have to not have to use one of the disk to be able to play the game. you might [REMOVED]
hope this helps
