hi you know the ps3 i know it will have online play but do i havt to go out and but a adaptor for it like the ps2 1 or use the ps2 1 in the ps3 or is it some how built in please some 1 help.

'According to Official PlayStation Magazine, the PlayStation 3 will not have a central online gaming service. The PlayStation 2 does not have this feature, but it makes it difficult for Sony to control the quality of online gaming. Also, since online gaming will be left for the publishers, gamers will be required to have different user accounts (and possible fees) for each publisher. This mean that there will not be a playstation equivelent to xbox live. Some games will have online multiplayer however it will not be as well structured and coordinated as xbox live with as much content because game makers have to set up their own online functions. Many game makers will not bother with online because it is a lot of extra work, while if they had a live function like xbox the work load would be cut in half. It also mean no gamertags like we have seen for the 360, any that arise will be much more primitive.
