I have gave the cd for it away like 6 months ago and I need to know how to uninstall a game without the cd.

I have simcity 4 on my pc and when I try and uninstall it it says I need the cd. It is taking up a gig on my pc right now and Im real strapped on space. I got 1.23 gb left of 140.

I was also wondering is there a way to go into the cpu and completely remove the program without using the cd.

1.you have pop up run program in start menu
2.hit browse, select c[if thats your hard drive letter]
3.hit windows, look for regedit[it should say that and have a green blocky icon
4.now click open
5.this is you registry
6.see folder Hkey_current_user and Hkey_local_machine
7.in each folder there is a folder that says software
look in software for game, delete strings or the files for the list of games you want to uninstall
8.now go back in windows and delete the files under program files
9.then you can download a trial of system mechanic to make sure the system is clean
10.restart and reinstall game
11.if you cant install a game and it has been like recently installed you could also restore and then reinstall the game, but if its been a long time you will lose all the data that you install after you install the game, thats if you have me,xp,and i think 2000 not sure about the last one
peace hope this helped,if your not sure about it,dont do it.but its not that hard.pretty much self taught myself

you have to go into the program files and delete the games too.the registry delete helps you reinstall cause it doesnt know its still in there.if you dont manually go into c:\program files\what ever game you want to delete it will still be there.lol
