pure wipeout works, but burn out legends doesn't. Is this true for others? I'm working with f/w 1.5 f/l .07.

I have both fastloader and UMdemulator on the PSP. Is that necessary or can I get rid of fastloader 0.7 now? Everything is working fine except that the stick shows the fastloader icon, below that corrupted data, the UMDem. icon and below that again corrupted data. The both load ok and I just would like to know what this could be (don't see anything when I look at it on the computer). Thanks !

there is always a currupted data when running homebrew. also v7 and v8 of fastloader both have their advantages so keep both.

thanks for the replies regarding "burnout legends". I only get "initializing" when I try to start it with f/l 07. I'll try a different iso of the same game.

Thanks for info on corrupted data, and I will keep both fastloader and UMDemulator. On PSP hacks I found a list of games that have been tested and should work, Burnout legends should with UMD EMU 8C, this is the link to the official 1.5 working game list by Mayhem and friends: http://www.psphacks.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=9904

Sorry if this is a stupid question that has been answered already, but I'm really lost here.

I'm trying to run some ISOS and my system keeps on shutting down.

For example, Need for Speed starts trying to load from the intro screen, and then the PSP just shuts off.

With Fifa 2006, I get to the Start Match screen, and then when it tried to load, it shuts down.

I'm using Dev Hook to run the ISO files.

I have also tried to use Fastloader, but whenever I try to load a game, it just says "Please insert any UMD!"

Please let me know how I can fix this. I'm really lost here.

Thank you!

Fastloader only works if you have a UMD inserted, put the demo one in that came with it when you bought it and it should work!

Hi i'm a newbie and i've been trying to make an iso file with VCDROMX and UMDgen. I have successfully made an iso file with these two methods but the image of the file is unknown and isn't a disc. Does anybody know how to fix this?

Cheers in advance

you might have an iso but it just may not show a cd icon. go to folder optios and select hide kwown file types and turn it off.

you can get the 2.0 upgrade from my site just put it in an upgrade foler inside games you have to create it.

whoa, 647 posts...

ok You CAN run anything in conjunction with Version Changer, OK?!?!?!?!? Sorry if I seem mean but I'm trying to be like Ichijoe, ok? he seems like the smartest here. only I don't do the (tm) thing.

You CAN'T run ANY homebrew on 2.01+. No ISOs on 2.0+.
Also you HAVE To keep a disc in the drive! Any disc will do, even the sampler disc.

Burnout Legends DOES work, maybe you downloaded a corrupt ISO. Try again from a different source.

If you get an ISO file you load it with an ISO loader but if you get a folder that says "PSP_GAME":
1. create an ISO yourself. Put the folder into an ISO and create.

OR

2. Use a standaone loader. Many standalone loaders are game-specific, eg. Coded Arms Loader, Lumines Loader, and they require PSP_GAME fodlers, not ISOs (although some use ISOs)

and just a question i know this is off-topic but how many posts before i'm a senior member? can't wait!

(from the previous page)
no, you don't need 2 memory sticks to use homebrew. That was the OLD 1.5 exploit. Now we all use KXploit (two folders:
ms0:\PSP\GAME\SOMEGAME
ms0:\PSP\GAME\%SOMEGAME)
and you cannot downgrade from 2.01 to 1.50. only 2.00 to 1.50.

@diana123: when running homebrew on 1.50 you must have both folders GAME and %GAME for it to work BUT the PSP sees %GAME as corrupted data. We can't run %GAME, we run GAME, but to run GAME we must have %GAME. BUT there IS a program which can hide the corrupted data icon. They put all your runnable homebrew at the front and all the corrupted icons at the back. So you will never have to see the ugly crap again. Do a google search for "PSP Homebrew 9". Download it, go to TRANSFER FILES and then SORT ICONS.

Also, you need any UMD in the drive to run ISOs but there's a way for SOME games to run with no UMD. First load the ISO with UMD Emulator. When you return to the XMB don't run it yet. Go to Devhook and load current UMD. Then you can play without neding a UMD.
OR you can open the UMD drive and see the UMD presence switch. When you put a UMD in it pushes it down, so the PSP knows there's a UMD in it. Hold it down with a matchstick or maskingtape or something and the PSP will always think there's a UMD in the drive even if it's not, but it will scan, and find nothing so it won't load anything but you can load ISOs without UMDs.

I was told to change my sig so I did this.

Thanks Libenja, as far as I'm concerned you can become a senior member immediately ;-) I have printed out tons of stuff now and I was wondering why people like you that know so much and constantly get the same stupid questions on threads with 650 posts, do not write tutorials for us beginners. All answers are hidden in threads that are too long to cope with...
I have another one: my son borrowed some games that I am dumping, but the file shows as FILE not ISO, how can I make it play? I tried copying it to the ISO folder and it shows in UMD but won't play, any suggestions? Thanks!
