Using iPod with new Home Theater with USB port. Help!!

Okay, so I got a new Samsung home theater, HT-P38, with the nifty USB port in the front. I tried to plug my ipod into it the receiver and it could only read a handful of songs.

The only songs the Samsung could read were the ones I've downloaded from LimeWaire
The Samsung could not read any song which came from a CD or from purchasing at iMusic Store.

I don't know what the differneces are. Aren't all tunes on my ipod set to MP3 format? Apparently this Samsung only reads MP3 and WMA. Is there a way to get all of my songs on my iPod to be the same as the ones I got off LimeWire (and therefore playable on my home theater system)???
