well it won't eject. It has charged fully and I uploaded my music and videos to it that I wanted to, yet, when I click to eject it it says "The iPod _____'s iPod cannot be ejected because it contains files that are in use in another application." Yet, I know that there aren't any of those files in use. Can you help me out here? Should I just manually pull it out or what?

Are you using Windows XP?
When that happens to me I use the "safely eject hardware" option in the taskbar. I always works for me.
BTW- mine gets that message about once every 10 times I hook up the iPod, so don't sweat it.

yeah I'm using Windows XP and thanks for the tip, I'll have a go at it, will edit after i try it. Thanks again.

Edit- hmmm uh-oh, I tried that and it said that the hardware couldn't be stopped. (or ejected really). I'm positive it is done charging because the icon in the top right corner of the screen is the little plug in the battery image which means it is done right? Sooo now I don't know what to do.

BTW, it is my first time hooking it up, so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it.

Yeah i had a mini previously and made sure that the Itunes software was up to date with the disk that came with the ipod. My version of Itunes was already current and when I hooked my ipod in it loaded fine and asked like what do you want to call it and the options that it gives you when you first plug one in. Though, I probably should double check that.

alright, well I got it to eject using that eject hardware thing in the taskbar. Thanks for all the help! It actually worked because of me putting the iTunes+iPod disk back it that came with the iPod. I just reinstalled the iPod part of it and then it ejected. Thanks again!
