I have a 360 first off M$ lied when they said you can play all your old xbox games on 360 last time i check it was only around 100 second there customer service sucks i will be taking my system which is only 1 month old to a used game store for a 50% loss and i will be sticking with playstation

and i sent it in for repair because it was over heating they sent me back a totally different unit serial numbers were different my first one i got 3 rings of red light i plugged in the new one and it was overheating in 5 min plus they did not send me a hdd i sent mine in i had to wait another week for that i am fed up with xbox and M$

Don't sell it to a gamestore; sell it on eBay. You will get alot more money for it.

first it's over 200 xbox titles not 100, it was over 200 when it launched.
second, of course they sent you a new unit, and the warrenty info and everything from your registration was switched via them.
third, customer service was quick, overnight both ways, w/ less then 5day turn-around.
fourth, what do you expect from them? obviously PS2 had problems, it's guaranteed PS3 will have problems too, it's just a thing you have to deal w/ in electronics, considering there is generally a 5%-7% faulty unit ratio in the entire electronics industry. it's just bum luck you got a faulty unit.
oh and i sent mine back got a new one, no problems, mine wasn't overheating it just plain froze at the boot screen, took 3days to get a new unit w/ new HDD. also why play original xbox games on it? more then likely it decreases laser life just like playin ps games on the ps2.
that's my 2cents.

You are correct this is what I've been saying for weeks and no one seems to listen to common sense any more. I love my xbox the first version but 1 yr after I got it the dvd drive crashed I called xbox and they next day aired a box to send it back. 5 days from the time i called to when they sent it back to me,to me thats good customer services(I had a warranty I bought from xbox 49.99 for 3 yr it payed for it self)
I cant say anything bad about sony my p2 had same prob. with no warranty after 1 yr and sony fixed for free.If my 360 crashes I have a 3 yr warranty for 49.99 that will replace my system and controlers.
I think you just had bad luck, like smurf said as a consumer when you buy something there is always a chance something will go wrong.

wow 203 games exactly i just checked xbox.com they said all games would still be backwards compatible lie #1
why would i want to play the old games i spent average of 49.99 on gee i wonder why the new Ea sports games suck because half of the features are not in them like maddan No franchise mode tiger woods has alot of stuff missing too they threw this piece of garbege together too get it out for christmas including just throwing games together i will have to admit condemed and call of duty are killer games but it was all hype none of the games equal anything this thing is supposidly made for and we will see if it does because it is reminding me of sega saturn it will just get blown out of the water when PS3 comes out just like saturn did when PSone came out.
im sure it could be something good but this is my 2nd system bad 399.99 you want something good it may not be alot of money but i am very disappointed

Ps3 is not the holy grail it will have its flaws just like ps2 ps1
and the games are good games Xbox 360 is only 1 month old

yeah they are but i am a sports person the graphics A-1 but features suck very disappointed with EA and M$

I will agree with madden I had it reserved and the guy at gamestop talked me out of it i tried a demo for 360,but madden for xbox was better. EA dropped the ball on that game ,I have condemned which is a nice game, need for speed is good,COD2 i play alot, Perfect Dark i haven't played much

i do like need for speed 2 ea dropped the ball on 99% of there 360 games that whats makes me mad about m$ u cant play old xbox games like tiger 06 or madden 06 on 360

I see the benifit of modding my x-box every time my 3 year old decides to play frisbee with the cd's trust me, it was money well spent. I have over 60 games ALL of them are backed up, and put in my closet if I buy a new game its the first thing that happens before its even played.

There are plenty of uses other than bootleg games...Xbox Media Center to play virtually any type of video files,music or photos...emulation of old game systems like Nintendo,etc...modding just for the fun of it! Plus,you don't need to open up your 'box to mod,so you won't void your warranty. The possibilities are endless

this is so true I had a x-box that i played on all the time, then when the kids got older I found one in the paper for sale for 75.00 for just the box with controller, I soft modded(007 soft modd) my old one, I work on computers here at the house so I had a couple of hard drives laying around so I deciced to stick a 120 hard drive in it so all is good.
