Problem converting wmv slideshows to ipod format

I am using Xilisoft Video Converter (as well as several other software solutions) to convert wmv files for viewing on my ipod. I have absolutely no problem with standard video file conversion. However, I have created several wmv file slideshows (using Pinnacle Studio) of family pictures for streaming on my family website. When I try to convert these wmv slideshows the audio appears to convert correctly but the pictures display for different times, do not transition correctly and are way out of synch with the audio.

Does anyone know what is causing this problem and how to solve it.
