nintendo need to put a holographic disc reader into their system. with ps3 having there blu ray disc they can have the best games ever seen. the blu ray discs can hold 25gb and 50gb on a duel layer. the holographic discs can hold up to 1600 gb but will only come out at 300gb. the revolution needs to have 4 ghz duel processor and an awesome graphics card. it will need hdtv outputs too. it woud be awesmome if they had a disc burner in it to burn nes snes and n64 games.
i had a boner now its gone because the xbox 360 took it away. no excitement

They don't need to do anything, except follow the path they're currently headed on. Nintendo reps like Reggie Fils-Aime have stated that the Revolution is not to contend with PS3 and XBOX360, but to provide an alternate choice in style and gaming.
Nintendo's sticking to it's adage of: revolutionary and inovative gameplay will triumph over flash. I give them credit for this, and while it may be true in theory, I'm not so sure how it'll work out in the real world.
Adding HDTV connections and holographic discs aren't what the Revolution is about. They want it to be a lower price point gaming system, for those who don't want to spend the 400 bucks on a PS3/X360.
It'll have that crazy nunchaku styled controller, hopefully inovative games that aren't too far out there, decent graphics and a library of family oriented games that Nintendo has been known to produce.
I wish Nintendo the best of luck.
Signature? What signature!? Oh wait...I actually have one
now.

nintendo are stupid they need to get the jump on ps3 or this is the end. im a hard core nintendo fan and i hate to see them go down. if not this is the end. they need to have the same things as the ps3 and there own add ons to make it better. their processor is good but it needs better graphics.

yeah. aside from not being realistic at all, I'd say you offer a pretty good solution.

i think this may be the end of the Xbox consoles seing how well they are selling NOT and how all thry are, are a prettyer made buggy version of the original they are nothing special, nothing worth getting excited about been there done that kinda thing but the REV is exciting it is NEW they have millked those consoles for long enough, its time for a REVOLOUTION new way to play games not bound to a controller but being in the game using your skill not how fast u can hit a button, fine the REV may not be as good graphic wise as the others but if this turns out to be successful i can expect the other companies taking note of this and the REV will change evrything

How much would all that cost the consumer? It wouldn't make the games anymore fun.
Nintendo aren't going down, think how much they make in the handheld market.

first of all nintendo is doing its own thing it has said that over and over again. nintendo is really helping microsoft with the release of nintendo at the same time as the ps3. yes i can imagine playing old school games online i already do on xbox marketplace. also this will not be the list system for ms. first off thier wernt alot of game options but their are lots of games that look insanely good theyre soo awesome its stupid.

DVD9 is enough for next generation games, that's why MS and Nintendo are sticking with it. The only reason Sony is using BD-Rom is for making sure theirs becomes the new dominant optical disc format. Bluray isn't even out yet and you are suggesting that Nintendo uses a format that's at least a decade away of reaching the public. You are just trying to be funny, right?

I don't think nintendo needs much more.
There is no need for them to support 1080i Hi-Def but they should use 720i Hi-Def. They also should use a dual core proccessor runing between 2.0 - 2.8 ghz. if they did that this system would be great. Then none would have to decide if they want state of the art tech and graphics or if they want a lower end machine that is using revolutionary concepts that someday all game systems will incorporate. It would have both
