what is the best ff? i don't want to play the early ones for snes. just the ps and ps2 games.
i can get ff 7,8 x and x-2. i have 8 on pc right now.
what is ff IX? how come it's not as popular as the others?

I like FF8 the best, but i'm an anamoly too. FF9 just kinda has the misfortune of being between the great FF7 and FF10. FF9 is well worth playing though. If you're wondering which FF's to get, all of them except X-2.

The best actually goes in order from 7 being first, to 8 and then 9, followed by 10. Dont know why ppl like 10 better than 9. I thought 9 had the most interesting story line cuz it keeps you wondering what will happen in the end and what will happen to the lil black mage. But none of them compare to 7 which is the greatest out of all.

whats wrong with x-2? everything it just didnt have that final fantasy magic but i enjoyed but no where near as much as the other ff's

FF7 pwned, best storyline b/c one of the main character dies, sad, mysterious, and usa version doesnt have all the extra bits added like the japanese, like being able to clone Aeris. I hope if they do remake ff7 for PS3 that it will hold all the extra parts left out in the original.

Ok now i havent played any games in a looonnng time, but i can tell you that FF7 and FF 10 are some of the best games youll ever play.

to be honest.... i really loved the older FF's. my ALL TIME favourites were FF III with Terra, FF VII Cloud Of Course and FF8 Ha hem Squall. I also absolutly HATED X-2 it sucked maajjjor hardcore.... FF II wasnt that bad either Cecil.

Personally, I just like the Fial Fantasy's. I never understand why everyone always has to have a favorite. They each have something good in them, and they are different. people will associate with certain characters more and depending on the time the players life, that can affect thigns as well, like 2 (american) was when I was way young and it got me into rpg's. However, I really love evry FF game to date. They each keep the standards of Square and thats really the end of it. Each one adds something to the universe and 12 will keep it up as well. SO my favorite FF game is all of them.

FF7 set a benchmark that all other RPG'S had to aspire to apart from FF5 for the snes which is epic!.Saying that i got so into FFX that i started going to sleep thinking about it lol FFX2 was such a waste of time and money by Square Enix it cant even touch FFX and is unworthy of being a sequal.

you think they will remake FF VII for ps2?? that would be the sweetest thing EVER!!! just kept the orginal story and gameplay style, and not added that kindom hearts legend of mana bullsh!t. that would be TOTAL ownage. just picture it, FF VII with kickaass graphics!

yeh they released a trailer demonstrating the ps3's graphics and it was the beggining FMV in FF7 looked amazing.As long as they get some decent voice acting stick to the same story and unlock some of the things which were only in the japanese version it would be a masterpiece IMO.

Sorry for side tracking but anyways...
FF7 remake for the PS3 would be sick as hell but i think ppl wouldnt be as interested if it was the exact same story line. It would be like plying FF7 agian but with better graphics, not that its bad but seriously you can only play FF7 so many times until it gets old. Now if it was a new story line but with the exact same materia and summon system and with same characters then it would defenitly be more interesting.
