Hi...
The software i have dose unlock the L6 BUT you WILL HAVE to take the phone apart and do A TESTPOINT...
This is NOT an easy task as you will need to cut a metal plate away from the phone when you take it apart

Unlock L6
Take out battery
Use motorola screwdriver to take back off phone
unclip the speaker wire from the board (a black and red wire joined via a white clip)
on the top left hand corner there is a flat gold colour clip that connects to the screen... disconnect this.
on the bottom left hand corner there is a gold colour clip that connects to the screen.... disconnect this also
along the right hand side there is a black wire connected to the board... disconnect this....
now take off the board....
as you look at the back of the board at the bottom right hand side there is a metal panel sealing micro chips now this is the fun part...
get a wire snips and cut away the bottom right of the metal panel mentioned above...
JUST THE CORNER...
you will know when you have enough taken away as you will see 2 very small gold coloured points the ONE ON THE LEFT is the TESTPOINT...
THIS TESTPOINT HAS TO BE GROUNDED TO SOME PART OF THE PHONE... BUT CANNOT BE GROUNDED TO ANY MICROCHIP OR SOLDERED COMPONENT....
What I used was a vey thin peice of strong metal (A key ring) mad a L shape on the end....
I put the point of the keyring on to the testpoint and made sure the ONLY OTHER THING THE KEYRING TOUCHED WAS THE REMAINDER OF THE SILVER COVER THAT I CUT THE END OFF..... (I Connected it using seletape)
now get the USB cable that connects your phone to the pc Load the unlock software and connect your phone to the pc....
Now the very tricky part....
Select your phone type "L6"
Then tick the "Unlock Box"
Now put the phone battery flat on front of you and place the PHONE BATTERY terminals down on top of the battery to CONNECT THE BOARD TO THE BATTERY.....
Now click "do selected jobs"
When you click "do selected jobs" you must ground the testpoint... "push the keyring with your finger" as it will then create a circuit and a screen should pop up saying to remove test point at this stage you should remove the keyring WITHOUT DISCONNECTING THE PHONE FROM THE BATTERY.... JOB DONE!!!!
It very hard to explain but it dose work as I ve done a number of them and can do a FULL SYSTEM RESTORE on an L6 including flashing in 20mins.....
Hope this helps

THE ABOVE SHOULD READ....THE ABOVE SHOULD READ.....THE ABOVE SHOULD READ
get a wire snips and cut away the bottom LEFT of the metal panel mentioned above...
ALSO I TAKE NO RESPONSABILITY FOR ANY MISTAKES YOU MAKE WHILE ATTEMPTING THE ABOVE.......
AS I SAID IT WORKED FOR ME.....

Hi,
Does anyone have a picture of the metal part cut out or test point made.
I'm just bit confused as to which metal covering I should be cutting. Nobody seems to have posted a picture. A picture of the process would be really appreciated.
Thanks You all.

Hi All,
After searching around for about 1.5 days and registering with about a dozen sites I finally found an image for L2.
Here's the link.
ftp://www.boot-loader.com/testpoints/L2.jpg

I did my phone last night and its unlocked now. I did not cut the metal part, I just used small enough screwdriver to pry open the metal casing without touching or puting pressure on any chips. I think this is much better option as by cutting you might damage some chips.
Don't even attempt doing this by your self, you need another pair of hands to hold and plug things.
Thanks,

Oh well I guess the link doesn't work using the FTP, you have to go to this link first
http://www.boot-loader.com/index.php?opt...=forward&path=/
and then choose the L2.jpg
Why does this forum allow you to upload images? It would be so easy, one wouldn't have to register to 12 different sites before finding what they need.

Hi, Pamanas,
How long does it take to unlock a phone?
I have torn my MOTO L2 apart, cut to test point, use testpoint to create "Motorola Flash Interface" when pop in battery. Then run program (P2k V3.9), start unlock with TP, but the program halt during lock for 10 minutes:
Connecting to phone ...
Connected to: 'Motorola Flash'
Connected OK
Bootloader version: 0000
Sending loader to phone ...
Loader sent OK.
Read Flash ID ...
Flash ID: 890B1088
Unlocking ...
(I Wait for 10 minutes, unplug battery, then ...)
Error reading PDS VARS (2)
ERROR: Unlock failed
Any Idea? Thank you for the help.

Hi, Pamanas,
I got the phone unlocked, but still don't know how. May be it related with "rebuild PDS" activity I did.
Any way, it is working now. Thank you for giving me courage on doing this, without your post, I never dare to open my cellular phone case. :)
