Try Futurama

I did Season 2 , 4 Disc Set using;

SmartRipper 2.41
DVD2One 1.12 (that was latest version at the time)
Nero 5.5.10.20 (again latest version ATT)

No problems at all , even though the menu settings were complicated. Just need to do a Full-Disk copy...

Spawnways,

don't give up. I got the SImpsons to work, and it was a piece of cake, no complicated details. Download dvdshrink. Use that to decrypt and compress the dvd. Then use any burning program, (I like Copytodvd).
you don'[t have to make any file changing adjustments, just use the dvdshrink default

Ok. I have a question. Is there any way that you can convert an IFO file to an ISO file. Everytime i use DVD Shrink it converts it to IFO and i think thats the reason its not playing in my dvd player. If there is a program available please post the link or send me a private message. Thanx for all your help.

DVD's are made up of BUP VOB IFO files

You can rip whole lot as an ISO but there certainly is no point in converting IFO to ISO

What have you guys heard about the DVD X Copy Platinum? I mean, will it copy the simpsons season easier or what?

May the future bring you more joy then Pain.

Does it make it easier to copy or is it not worth it then?

I used to use DVDXcopy and express. I don't like them because certain movies do not wrok well, and then the TV DVD collections were impossible to copy. As for the IFO/ISO question, there is a feature on DVD Decrypter to change this, but use DVDshrink, it's so easy, free to download, and it does all the decrypting and compression for you. Then you just burn it, Spawnways, are you having any success, do you need one to one email help?

I am having problems with DVD Shrink. First I extract the movie from the disk and then I shrink it. Then I backed it up to my hard drive and then I dont know what to do. I dont know what to use to burn it. Does DVD Shrink have an option where you can burn the dvd, or do you have to use something else. I've already tried to burn the IFO files on a dvd and it didnt even want to play in any dvd player, even my computer. Do you have to convert the files into ISO files or any other type of file that is able to be played in a dvd player. IF so then can you please post the link to a program that can do that. If someone could please help me with this i would really appreciate it. Thanks

You need to burn all VOB BUP IFO files into a VIDEO_TS folder for anything to play in a stand alone DVD Player.
You can burn an ISO image of a DVD-5 (under 4.36Gb) with DVD Decrypter but Nero or RecordNow are much better burning progs & worth having!!

Spawnways,

I use copytodvd. Do a search and you can download trialware version of this. If you take this route, then just open up the program,
select "new" under the file category
pick "video dvd"
then find the folder you decrypted the dvd in, and open it. There should only be ONE file to select. click on that and you will start burning

Doesn't anyone use IFOEdit anymore? All you have to do is open the Ifo file for the set containing the episodes and remove the region checking.

Burn everything that Shrink chucks out.
If using RecordNow you'll need to have these files in a folder named VIDEO_TS & then add whole folder to new data project.
If burning in Nero you dont need a VIDEO_TS folder cos it already has one set under DVD-Video options , all you need to do is drag n drop (or cut & paste) files into the VIDEO_TS folder provided.

Ok you guys. I have successfully burned everything Dvd shrink chucks out. The problem now is that it does'nt want to play in my dvd player. It plays on my computer and on my cousin's dvd player but it doesn't want to play in my dvd player. Is it the region settings because I set it as region free, or is it something else. If it helps, i used record now to burn it. Thanks for all your help and support.
P.S.
Can anybody explain the difference between DVD-R and DVD+R. Thanks

May the future bring you more joy then Pain.

Basic answer to +R & -R is that +R is Variable bitrate and -R is constant bitrate...
