The irish DTT trial is using conax version cas7 and that system is not hacked.
You can get only the none scrambled channels from the irish DTT trial.

Hi , I have a dreambox 500s so kinda familiar with the images etc. Thinking of buying a 500T for use with m*mds with ch**us. Just wondering if the 500t uses the same image as the 500c?

Quote: A usb dvb-t stick should be working if the manufacturer offer BDA drivers for progdvb.
BDA drivers are available for the freecom dvb-t stick for instance.
I got an MMDS aerial last week, put it on a pole and was able to pick up the analogue channels. Then I got bold and hooked up my DVB-T (Freeview) box Goodmans GDB3 and with that I can receive all the digital channels. Most of them are scrambled, of course.
I also have a SS2 satcard and I'm using ProgDVB for years. So, if I was gonna get me a DVB-T USBstick with working BDA driver would I be able to see more?
Is this a good one?

And finally, are CH*rus using Nagra?
Hope someone can enlighten me on the terrestrial stuff, so far I was "satellite only" ;)

The freecom stick should work but you have to check it by yourself.
The risk is not so high for a 22 euro device.

Can anyone confirm if the Starview 2 works effectively with Chorus MMDS now (Firmware v4.5) ?
Is it a viable alternative to the DM500T.

Short anwser is it has solved the autoroll process for C***** MMDS. So yes it is effective. There is a new version of "The Box" to be released in five weeks time purely for C***** MMDS. But if you have "The Box" with 4.5 on board I dont see the reasom for purchasing this.

So only the forthcoming Starview box will be suitable ?
The Starview 2 is only compatible with Chorus cable I take it so.

Fano apologies for the earlier misleading answer. Yes it is comptabile with true cable on C*****. The MMDS version of this box will be out in five weeks, which will have a DVB-T tuner.

Quick question about these starview2 boxes.
Will they need codes constantly like the original starview.
I have lots of friends who have them and need codes every couple of days.
Are the starview 2 and dreambox 500t the only boxes that will work on Chorus MMDS?
Cheers.

You need a device with dvb-t tuner for chorus mmds.
Dream 500-t, dream 600 with dvb-t tuner, dream 7025 with dvb-t tuner or dvb-t usb stick with bda drivers.
The anounced starview for dvb-t nobody ever saw till yet.

The black box is the power inserter for the downconverter at the aerial.
The device should have 12v to 18v 200ma.
