yea like in iTunes, i made all of my family guy episodes under the Tv show category. when i sent them to my iPod, they were not able to be found... anywhere. I don't like putting them under the Movies category because that is not what they are. They are shows. Why can't i have folder on my iPod that has TV shows?? Please help... anybody....

If you look in this thread over at the apple forums, you will see that iTunes 6.0.2 does not allow for the TV shows category to be added onto the iPod. iTunes 6.0.3 is out now, and they have remedied the problem, as "TV Shows" appears on my ipod as a video category.
Get iTunes 6.0.3 here;
http://www.apple.com/itunes/
Give your iPod an update afterwards, and your problem should be solved :-)

Indeed. It doesn't alter any settings, either. All it will do is change any features that Apple have decided to change.

if i update my ipod, then i will not be able to play these videos, as they WERE ripped from the original cds through your videora method. btw, it worked great! thanks for that bit of info. do you think that some1 could make a patch for the ipod firmware where it wouldn't skip after the 30 seconds? if some1 just happens to be smart enough to do that, just happen to p.m. me so i can get in on it. How do you guys think apple would react if we protest this new firmware?

I am not sure of a download.. as I say, I just recieved the alert via iTunes. I didn't download it.. that is mistake #1 (as we learned with the buggy version 1.1 firmware). My iPod is running fine, so as far as I'm concerned, there's no need to update.
Here is the alert that I recieved as I plugged my iPod in this morning.

Exactly.
As I say, if your iPod is working fine, it makes no sense to update. Wait until others have updated, and if there are no real bugs or problems, then you should update

No, I am not. I really did get offered the update. But I have four iPods, so different iPods run different firmware versions off the same updater.

ooh ok. well.. patience is the key i guess. it'd be nice if apple fixed it. oh well. my friend had a problem turning his ipod off the otherday in school. we tried everything lett it time out but nothgin worked. eventually i just did the "flip the hold button and press the center and menu buttons at the same time" trick. i told him it should fix itself onces he plugs it in that night. should i have told him that? is that the right solution to his problem? if not, what is?

sometimes, my ipod acts up too. it just takes a while to shut off. sometimes, you have to press play/pause multiple times before it shuts off. resetting it wont work

That's a very hasty summary. If you are having problems with the click-wheel, resetting the iPod can, if not will remedy the problem.

hi, i updated my itunes to 6.0.4.2 and I still don't get a folder called TV shows. I know it's there my friend had it on his. It's copied onto my ipod because it takes up space and i see it on the update bar when i click update ipod. So what's wrong?
I updated my iPod to the 1.1 version and nothing seems wrong except maybe the TV shows folder is missing? Thanks in advance
