not a bad scan there on saw3 Binkie7... looks better than mine..lol
just gonna wait on the AnyDVD update and we'll get some real good looking scans from it..lol or just let unjust2u or greensman do the scans on those 18x litey

I used AnyDVD 6.1.1.1 and CloneDVD for Saw 3.

Binkie heres the scan of what i was talking about, look closely and you'll see all the down spikes.
And I wasn't multitasking or anything, so I have no idea, and I don't wanna change firmwares because my dvd scans don't have these down spikes, and there great

those spike actually are going up. they start at zero and go up. the disc are being read by the drive.they are read by what is called a "pit" in the disc.depending on how it is read will determine how high a number it is. those are very good numbers you have on the cd-r.
it is pretty consistant across the board. thats what ya want to see.what would be perfect is to have almost a straight line across but what you have is good...
hope this helps some.i know thats not that good of a answer as to why it looks like that... im still learning myself

Look closer, don't look at the blue, look for green ull see the spikes like a cm apart.

Wow... check this out, I was amazed with these 2 different scans from SAW 3 UNRATED EDITION, it's looking sweet. Again, since I'm sucha Hitachi-Maxell-holic, here's another one.
4X scanned, this is one in every 500 or 1K scans, lol.

You got us beat on the pi failures (well me at least :) )
What burner did you burn these with? Curiosity :)
FlyBoy (previous page ) was burned at work and for the life of me can't remember that make & model. Guessing that maybe depending on the make and model scanned or burned w/ may not show. Though I have burned w/ a Plextor at work and it did show them.

I burned it with my Litey 160P6S. Originally ripped it with RipIt4Me, took out/modified few unwanted junks (previews and other small junks) via VobBlanker 2130Beta4 and encoded with DVD-RB Pro + CCE SP 2.70 via 3 PASSES VBR and finally burned with Nero Burning Rom.
Yep, that was a lucky scanned for me. That's like one in every 3 to 5 hundred burns that'll get 98%, it's very rare for Nero CD-DVD Speed to get 98, especially for us Litey owners here.

i see what you mean.. the green line is the spead the scan is being read thats all has nothing to do with the quality of the disc or scan itself....

Hello All, here's a post of my backup of SAW III Unrated movie only, burned with Nero, ripped with AnyDVD and cloned dvd2, then i took the files out of the temp folder and burned with Nero on my new liteon 18x , i burned at 8x speed with TY silvertop media from supermedia store . here's the result. /unjust

well im not at the 1000 disc burned yet(more like 500) so maybe in another year i'll get a 98%...lol very sweet burns being shown here lately... i gotta get me a good one again.. getting ready to do the guardian, and a goosbump movie for my son.

I'm about to give up on these TYG03's, anybody want them. lol. Unjust2u has me all frustrated. Did these at work with a SHW-160P6S on an Intel build. Not to bad but sure would like to see better PIF's.

did saw3 again after AnyDVD update. just AnyDVD and clonedvd2.
not a bad scan/not a good one either.but the point is it worked...no problem with AnyDVD on this one now and the movie plays fine...lol just watched it...man this movie rock..
not my normal liteon 95 but low PIF's and total PIE's isnt bad eather. 1 spot at the end kept it from a 95...
edit to add to greensman
if i remember correct docTY did say you tend to get a little lower score with the -r media. stil not bad scans we all cant have a 6

entire disc here in 19:24 had a spike go to 3 and got a 93 but this is by far the best scan i have gotten of saw3 with new update6.1.1.3
as long as slysoft is around we have now problems with sony arccos lol ROCK SLYSOFT

just did the texas chainsaw massacre the beginning for my mom and dad.. back to the good scans again...small pat on my back... adn no i dont have a 5 to post...lol but a good normal scan. very low PIF's low PIE's low PIE total to thats allways nice if ya look at the very beginning of the scan at the pif's thought i was gonna get that 5 total...lol
