ok I have a 30gig ipod. For the first time yesterday I used dvd decrypter and jodix freeware to convert to mp4. OK files transfered ok, but they came over in 4 different files, I figured since they came came over in 4 files they would just continually play maybe with a small pause between files. Whay is happening is that they ipod seems to reboot once one of the files is finished playing.

Have I done something wrong? I did not make them a play list so I am wondering if that is what I need to do, or if there is anything else, or is that just what I have to live with?

I tried to search for this so sorry if I missed it and am asking a question that has been asked a bunch, but I think I may be inputing the wrong search terms cause I cant find anthing on this.

Thanks for the help
Dan

Hello KOSDesign, welcome to the forums.

Have a look at my DVD to iPod guide at the top of the forum. It will show you how to rip your DVD into a single .VOB file using DVD Decrypter, ready to be transcoded using the software of your choice.

thanks lethal...and thanks for the welcome..I feel kinda dumb now, as I read that post before but skipped right past it for some reason.

I am using the jodix program but have been reading the videora is probably what is mostly used. IYO is that a better program, more reliable etc etc....?

I am just finishing up with the new settings to see how it works and transfers over using jodix but if videora is faster or better quality, easier to use I would switch over..I may just give it a shot anyways to see which can produce a quality product.

Thanks
Dan

I prefer Videora, but I have sampled Jodix, and I have to say, there isn't much difference in it. If I had to choose though, my recommendation would be Videora.

My guide at the top will show you how to transcode videos using Videora, and the good man Dela has written a guide on Jodix, which can be found here..
