Hi

Im looking at a 30gb ipod (uk) - can someone tell me if it uses the standard headphone jack or is it a different socket? Enquiring as I can't use the in-ear things and wanted to carry on with the headphones i have for my md player

All iPods so-far have had a standard headphone jack (the same in a normal CD player, mp3 player, etc.)

Yes, the iPods do not have special headphone jacks, but some of the predecessors of the current nano have extensions on the basic jack to allow for a remote control..
