EphPod is anextremely easy-to-use application. It allows fast data transfer & management with your iPod. With a FireWire card and EphPod on a PC, it takes under 30 minutes to transfer 1,000 songs to an iPod. Also, EphPod supports .M3U playlists (WinAMP), includes powerful playlist creation features, and will synchronize an entire music collection with one click. It imports Microsoft Outlook contacts, in addition to allowing ye to create and edit your own contacts. EphPod can also download the latest news, weather, e-books, and movie listings to your iPod. It is an all round fantastic iPod management program. Though unfortunately, it doesn't support videos.
On the other hand, however, for anyone prepared to dip into their pockets and pay for a program, then there is my personal favourite - Anapod Explorer.
Anapod, IMHO, is prolly the most advanced iPod management software available- it offers you iPod management through full Windows Explorer integration under 'My Computer', easy drag and drop iPod transfer and iPod backup, photo transfer, and most importantly, video transfer (Among many other features). Tis a fantastic iTunes alternative. You may not be willing to pay, but I strongly recommend you take this into consideration anyway. :)
ok...i downloaded ephpod.....and once i click add songs.....this screen comes up and find the cd i want on my ipod...and i click open....and my songs arent in the folder.....so i exit that.....and go to my music and click on my cd that i tried on ephpod...and all my songs r in there......

Why don't you just use iTunes. You say you hate it, yet you complain about all the alternatives. Admittedly, iTunes isn't the greatest program/media player/iPod management application in the world, but it does a great job, and it is extremely simple to use. ;-)
Ephpod is a good and very simple program. Thats why I like it so much. Basically all of my music has already been ripped to My Music. I open Ephpod and click on Add Songs. I select the songs I want and click Open and its all automatic from there.
If yo want to make playlists, simply select the songs you want (in Ephpod) right click and choose Make Playlist From Selected. Its that simple
I also am not a big fan of Itunes. Ephpod is just what I was looking for.
